nova just had to many doubts it's drove me a little crazy like mam that is your best friend give him a little credit

Now they’re closer because his sister has married his best friend and Nova meets that need. Charlie is also a player and Nova pities his conquests, knowing that he is a ‘one & done’ guy. Nova swears that she will never become one of those women. Then she takes Charlie as her plus one to a wedding...and the lines become blurred. Can Charlie give up his player ways and settle down with Nova? Can Nova shed her insecurities and let Charlie into her heart? Loved this friends-to-lovers story and look forward to more in the series.

A cute, endearing and entertaining friends to lovers romance. I enjoyed going on this sweet journey with Charlie or Nova. Narration was great.

Butterfly

I love love love how he calls her butterfly. I don't know why but that just made the story for me.

The male narrator is absolutely awful ...

The book itself isn’t bad, pretty similar to other books I’ve read by this author. The female narrator was pretty good but the male narrator was awful. I only made it Halfway through the audio book, I couldn’t even finish it. Don’t waste a credit. Read it on Kindle instead!

Disappointed by changes to main FMC

I don’t know why the writer decided to change Nova from a Black woman with a Black mom to a biracial woman with a white mom. Disappointed because I was really looking forward to listening to the book where the BFF in the first book is the main character. She has a different personality too. Less confident and interesting. Otherwise, I guess this book is ok.

ok story

The story was had good homes and ideas lease characters reasons or being who they were was not address fully. it was glazed over and never really dug deep. Great ideas but execution needed a little tweaking. The female voice performance was great. The male voice performance was too flat. It was too much of the same for the entire thing. They only time the performance picked up was when he was performing as a woman but as a man it was monotone. It lacked a full personality ....the personality that the words were describing and I simply was not convinced by the performance. Overall it was ok. A sweet story with some interesting choices.
