This course includes lessons 11 through 15 from the European Portuguese Level 1 program, featuring 2.5 hours of language instruction. Each lesson provides 30 minutes of spoken language practice, with an introductory conversation and new vocabulary and structures. Detailed instructions enable you to understand and participate in the conversation. Practice for vocabulary introduced in previous lessons is included in each lesson. The emphasis is on pronunciation and comprehension and on learning to speak European Portuguese. Reading lessons begin in lesson 11 to provide you with an introduction to reading European Portuguese. These lessons are designed to teach you to sound out words with correct pronunciation and accent. A reading booklet to be used with the audio lessons is also included in PDF format.
The European Portuguese Language
Portuguese is the mother tongue of about 170 million people, mainly in Portugal and the Portuguese islands in the Atlantic, Brazil, and Portugal's former overseas provinces in Africa and Asia. Pimsleur's European Portuguese teaches the Lisbon dialect of Portuguese.

Likeable gimmick, but not the best system.
The addition of repetition to music seems like a sound way of learning a new language but, having tried multiple language systems over the years, I personally haven't found this to be one of the best.

Couldn't keep listening to this audiobook, so I gave up on the course. What a waste of time... Seriously, why focus so much time on words that make people ask, "What does that mean?"
