I really struggled to finish this book, can't really place why, the narration and story were fine it just didn't hold my attention

This book was unbelievable. J.E.M did it again. Her creativity and passion for writing is unbelievable.

Love this author❤️

Only recently discovered JEM. But I have listened to 2 books so far and I really like her depth with the characters. You feel the characters pain, happiness and lust.. and Shane East just makes this book. Definitely worth the credit!

Frustrating

I love this author but this book frustrated me to no end. Ty is the most naive man it’s unbelievable how sadly dumb he was when it came to Lainey. He believed everything that came out of her mouth and NO ONE is that in love with a woman. It turned pathetic after a time.

Interesting plot twist

An interesting plot twist makes this a must listen. I definitely recommend it if you are craving a more complicated take on interpersonal relationships.

It was good!!

I LOVE anything Shane East narrates. He makes all books worth reading. The story was interesting had me thinking WTH is going on. It was worth a credit for ma 😊

Shane East did an outstanding job with Ty's story

This book gets 5 stars because of the fantastic narration by Shane East. If I had just read this book, it might have been 3.5-4 stars. This book is complete Perfect Chaos. I almost didn't listen to this one (even though I had already purchased it) based on a lot of the reviews. I'm not much of a fan of the manwhore trope. Most of the time the guy is ending his whoring ways at the beginning of the book so we don't usually have to "see" it. Ty was not that guy. He is completely proud of how he is with the many women that grace his bed. Things change for a bit when he meets Lainey, his partner's new assistant.

There is something about Lainey that is wreaking havoc on his personal life. He literally can't get her out of his head. Maybe because she doesn't seem the least bit fazed by him or his appeal. He also knows that nothing can happen with her because she works for him. But when he witnesses Lainey and hears about her with many different guys, he thinks that he has met his equal when it comes to their sexual prowess.

Eventually these two give up their fight of staying away from each other but things don't work out the way Ty hopes that they would. Lainey seems very indifferent once their tryst is over. Plus it appears that she has gone back to her previous ways with many men. Of course Ty retaliates (which I was not a fan of but in the end understood why he did what he did). As the book went on, I really started liking Ty a bit more chapter by chapter. His feelings for Lainey were really changing him.

It took me a long time to even like Lainey much (which I think is because we don't get any of her POV, the entire book is from Ty's POV). I would have liked to have a chapter here and there from her POV so that we could get a better grasp on what was going on with her. I'll admit that I really didn't like her once her truth came out. She possibly caused a lot of heartache that wouldn't have happened otherwise.

I also think this book desperately needed an epilogue. I needed something more than just how the last chapter ended.

This book I think is much better having listened to the audiobook. Shane East is truly an amazing performer and did an outstanding job with Ty.

Enjoyed Immensely

This author knows how to pull at your heart strings, take them, then make you want more! The love, the heartache, the hidden mysteries throughout the plot as it thickened is stupendous. Laney and Tyler have both been hurt and never again want to feel that tragic way again. The player contending with the played and both falling ass over elbow when sparks burst into being between them.
You need to listen to this novel!
Shane East is magnificent in his emotions, his fascination with creating a world that the author is hoping to convey through their words. No one does it better❤

really? no plot, no story

everything i read was day dreaming about see, very boring, i quit before I was half way through

A good book, but felt unfinished

First let me say that I love JEM and hate that I have any negative feedback, so I say this with love. I found parts of the book to be a bit redundant and the ending fell flat and abrupt. The story felt unfinished to me.
