A murderer is on the loose on the streets of New York City: nicknamed the Doomsday Killer, he's claimed six victims in just two weeks, and the city is terrified. Disappointing
The narrator does a wonderful job putting life into passages that were exceeding dull. I really wanted to like this book but felt the author got stuck trying to infuse references to historical civil rights heroes and locale without making them particularly edifying to the reader or weaving them into the story in a way that held the reader’s interest. It missed the mark. There were moments of surprise and the story got more compelling in the final couple of chapters.

Not bad!
The book was slow to start, but picked up toward the end of the book. I LOVE the narrator, Bahni Turpin. She brings out the distinct and unique personalities of each character to life. She made the book a great book.
