The crossing of the Jornada nearly doing them in. I believe that would be the “Jornada del Muerto” desert, i.e. Journey of the Dead Man, a wholly inhospitable place that takes about a week to cross. St. Louis is a dangerous place and full of surprises. Additional information sends Scratch to Bentfort. From Bentfort back to Taos where the journey will end for now. I enjoy this series, the characters, and the story. It’s a shame Audible is missing so much of the series. I’d like to follow more of Titus Bass and experience more of a time that will never be again.

This is in my "keep forever" library
I've read this series dozens of times. I never get tired of it. This is the first I've listened to it on audible. Alex Boyles does a fantastic job of narrating. He's able to keep each distinct character separate. This is now in my keeper audible library. You must read this series!

If you lIke the early history of the west this book is for you.
A amazing story of the early trapper and trapping industry. A action filled story of mountain men the life the lived. It follows the life of one man and the friendship he makes over a period of about 3 years. I love this series.

Damn Straight!
I've enjoyed these readings like NO other! I usually reserve my audio books for goin to sleep to, as I can set the timer an just run it back to where I fell asleep😀! LOVED IT! Listened to it most of my day! No tv!😃
