Highly Recommended!

This book was highly recommended! After the first 30 minutes I was hooked! The twist in the storyline was unexpected and creative! I thoroughly enjoyed this book and it will definitely be a repeat listen! Morae & Jakobi did their thing on this!

Magnificent!!

WOW!!!! I wanted to find a book I could get lost in due to being a nurse. My “mental vacay”. I found myself as a ‘virtual neighbor’ that lived on Quay and Imani’s street! I also found a new fav voice actor in Morae Brehon. Charae wrote the words and this new (to me) dynamic duo acted their asses off! Can’t wait for the next book!!!

Poppy!

This was the first book I listened to from this author. I've listened twice and it enjoyed both times. It's a nice change from typical romance novels. Also, Poppy had me cracking up. She needs her own book lol. The narration was perfect

Talk about unexpected!

Talk about unexpected! The twists this book took on the journey of Quay and Kanai left us flabbergasted. The tale of this developing young love that gets shredded through no fault of their own left us reeling with emotion. Years later when they reconnect, they have to tread the thicket of unfortunate circumstances, truths, and feelings just to find their way back to each other. And Quay, who is BAE, would not be denied. The author takes us on a run through the emotional carnage of this destined duo left by selfish parents, fraudulent exes, and one bittersweet surprise that leaves them forever linked. A definite must read!

I love Poppy!

A really great book! Keeps you engaged. Poppy wild talking and antics reminded me of my mom.

I love the entire storyline.

There has to be a book 2. I was truly hoping for more of the storyline. I feel like the ending was rushed all into a bunch of chapters stretched out. Don't get me wrong, it was good, but I feel like there could be more, a lot more. Overall, it was a good book and, I hope to see book 2 soon.

A must 📚, not what I expected

Teenage puppy love.... ummmm not so much. Kanai and Quay met and fell head over heels. Quay loved Kanai's natural beauty, even her vitiligo. They had sex one night, the next day everything changed. Quay's father snitched on his best friend, the local drug dealer so they suddenly had to go into witness protection. Poppy, Kanai’s mother heard word on the street that Quay's family was killed for his snitching and Kanai was devastated. In a total depressed state Kanai didn't notice she was pregnant until months later. Time went on and years later she got a job opportunity that moved her and family to Florida. At her orientation she saw a guy who looked exactly like Quay but he had a different name, Mickelson. Mickel was now a famous boxer, that had so much hatred towards his father. Mickel/Quay loved and doted on their daughter Imani. Chileeeee the twist and turns this book took me on. The sex scenes, forgiveness, hatred, arranged relationships, and jealousy, kept me turning the pages. One things for sure, true love never dies. It was refreshing to see the characters lived close to my neck of the woods; interesting storyline. Blend of serious and light-hearted content. Love Jakobi’s voice; a voice like his will make any woman submit to his will! These two are great narrators together. Great story!
