Captivating and informative

Not long ago, I listened to a book about Wicca, which was eye-opening as it was my first time hearing about topic. I've always been interested in spiritual guide, which led me to this book. After listening to this book, I not only found the history of runes interesting and the runic practice enticing, I also learned how to create my own runes and how to interpret them. The book is well-laid out. It's good for beginners who want to expand their spiritual guidance.

Good introduction to runes

First off, I loved the narrator’s voice – she made listening to this audiobook a delightful experience. The section that I found really interesting was the distinction between divination and fortune-telling. I like knowing that runes divination is only there to offer guidance and help me look at things from a different perspective, rather than the pursuit of fortune-telling. By being able to see things from different perspectives (seeing beyond what is evident to my mind and senses), I can then decide on a course of action for myself. Intriguing folklore

The topic of this audiobook is quite rare! Very well put together information on rune magic and how it can be applied to everyday life. I like how the narrator guides you through the secrets of Norse rune magic. It's cool to learn about the history of this culture and how it has transformed over the years. Great book!

Very interesting!

First off I loved the narrator of this book. Great pace and clear words in a voice that didn't become annoying after hours of listening. I think it helped that you can feel the author's passion for this subject come out in the layout of the book and the way all of the information was organized. I've never thought of this as a subject I could get into, but by the second chapter, I was hooked. Maybe there is something to Runes after all. I really enjoyed the free PDF that accompanied the book as well. That really brought everything together because I was able to follow along with what was being said and look at examples (a rare find for an audiobook!) This was a worthwhile purchase and I think it was money well spent to learn about something so fascinating!

Coming from a recommendation I had no expectations. This book was very informative for us history lovers. I especially loved the chapter about magic and dieties! Glad I live in the 21st century though 😁

Well written

I really enjoyed listening to this audiobook. Author Zara Greene did an awesome job of explaining about the Vikings. Odin’s story gives you great insight to how and why they used runes in their daily lives. Totally opened up my mind and gave me new perspective. Would highly recommend.

Expand your mind

If you are interested in the runes this book is your starters guide. It is the perfect introductory, setting the stage for better understanding and rooted background. With that said, the reader should have a beyond-solid foundation for initiating oneself to the runes and all the potential energy they contain. Words are magic.

Norse Runes for Self-Development

I’ve always been interested in Norse Magic and Runes. However, I am a complete beginner, so I downloaded this audiobook to learn some basics to help improve myself. What quickly stood out to me was how well Zara Greene’s told stories to teach complicated concepts that otherwise would have gone over my head. Zara Greene breaks down everything from Norse Magic rituals and how to apply them to your life, the mythology, and understanding runes. By the way, the pdf attachment to this book is worth downloading, especially if you are a newbie like me. Overall, this audiobook was a great find, and I learned a lot. Thank you, Zara Greene.

A Fascinating Journey of Discovery!

This audiobook helped me understand what runes are and how they actually work and how they can be used as a divination tool for guidance. I especially enjoyed the part about Viking history to enhance my understanding of how runes came to be. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to learn how to use runes!
