Dr. Tony Evans leads by teaching.
When I started to listen to Dr. Evans words, they confronted me. I was like who is this man telling me what I should and shouldn't do. Totally hurt my pride and crushed my super ego. I always thought of myself as a good person, but had a few hang ups. In all honesty deep down inside I knew my lack of values, fear of intimate relationships, and defeatist mentality was not being confronted head on. In today's world MEN are few and far between. Or trying to define themselves by the standards, or lack thereof, of today's culture. Dr. Tony Evans, in this book No More Excuses, offers what my seem like an impossible task for men. I know that anyone who goes through the time and effort with the Word of God, being lead by the Holy Spirit, and walking with Christ like Dr. Tony Evans did will get the victories in their life.
