Love the Joy that's Delivered!

Lauren Blakely's books have been an automatic read for me. I really enjoyed reading her book, Nights With Him but now listening to it again narrated by Sebastian York I was even more in love with the story. Sebastian has an exceptional way of setting a scene and conveying the mood. He can perform both male and female parts with such ease that felt very natural. This story stars Jack, the sexy ex. soldier turned sex toy company ceo. He is NY's most eligable bachelor and darling of the media after his fiance dies a year earlier. We have Michelle Milo's story from previous books in the series getting her chance at love. She is a rock star therapist and is extremely talented in helping her clients navigate their relationships and lives. They become the focus of social media which is a problem for a therapist who requires discretion. It is hard for them to stay away from each other because they each awaken strong passion, desire and healing in the other. I fell in love with Jack and Michelle, and the development of both of their characters. I also loved how hot the chemistry is between them along with their dirty talking. Their love scenes and passion is off the charts! We get to see old friends and great new secondary characters along with some drama and mystery that keeps the story flowing. We are also treated to wonderful scenes in Paris that makes you feel like you are really there. This is another fabulous installment from Ms. Blakely and Sebastian York and I can't wait to listen to more from them both!

All I can say is hear this audiobook if you like adult romances. This one is great and of course my favorite male narrator Sebastian York did an amazing job!

Another Five Star Stunner!

I love the books of Lauren Blakely. She's one of my favourite authors. I really enjoyed this Audible. The narration of Sebastian York was perfect, as always.

Perfect for a Fairytale

STAND ALONE?: I haven't read any other book in the series, and I was able to follow along with the plot just fine. They mention other characters and their arcs, but you don't need the other books to follow this book. There also isn't a dramatic cliffhanger, so if you want to end the story here, you do not have to complete the duet.

NARRATOR PERFORMANCE: Sebastian York's voice is divine, as always.

SEXINESS: Red Hot; This book was packed with erotic scenes in a variety of locations and scenarios. Lots of toys and role playing, but otherwise vanilla (in case you're a person whose not into BDSM)

POWER DYNAMICS: Michelle is a female character who holds her own. Jack likes playing some dom elements, but in a loving and consenting way. The two are equals, which I appreciate.

PLOT: (Note, this book has a lot of sex scenes, so the plot is this in parts to make room for them) I liked the premise, and the plot was fun for the first half of the book or so as they set up the characters. Once the tension was established though, the plot got rather boring and predictable for me. Everything that you thought would happen would happen. The characters doubt their love, and fall in love anyway. They have a romantic getaway in Paris.
The male lead is a fool, but makes up for it with a big romantic gesture. The bad guy gets put away. The couple gets married and get ready to have kids. It all felt too easy, too predictable for my tastes. If you want a perfect fairytale fantasy to fall into, this is a wonderful little escape. If you're looking for any more depth than that, look elsewhere.

CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT: This was my biggest qualm with the book. The characters felt very one-dimensional, flat, or cliche. Michelle is a girl who takes her work seriously and does everything above the bar, and she's scared to find love, but I never fear that she'll actually find it. Jack is a good guy who delivers joy, he's scared to heal, but again, I never have at doubts that he'll he through his love of Michelle. Their arcs were 100% predictable and grating at times because it didn't feel like there was actually any real tension or growth. Michelle and Jack are always on perfect behavior. They never really mess up, they don't have any big flaws, they're big blank slates for you to insert yourself and your dream beaux. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, sometimes it's fun to escape in that way, but for me this time around it came across as boring.

This book is something you escape for a moment and enjoy the story, it will melt your heart and it will also get you hot.

Sex and Romance what more can you ask for!

Lauren writes a great story and incorporates one of my favorite "items" lol. Jack. our main character s hot and really knows how to provide pleasure and Michelle knows how to dirty it up. A chance one nighter turns into so much more. Both characters have relationship issues and decided to use sex as therapy. Oh to be Michelle. Sebastian does another amazing job narrating this story. His voice was perfect making me miss a few hours of sleep. Yummy! I would definitely recommend this audio book to my friends!

Heart warming!

This is a scorching hot story that was sent to the boiling point with Mr. York's hot voice. I will listen to more of this combination. Loved it!

Super Passionate!

Hard to put down. This book keeps you wanting more of its characters. Edgy, passionate, thrilling, romantic , and added to it the voice of Sabastian York, sexy as hell!
