Where's the ending?

Enjoyed the story but was disappointed in ending,unless it was setting you up for another book continuing the story line.

Spa Music Background

Background music and sound effects are so distracting. Almost gave up. Will not listen to any more that have that added. Part of the enjoyment in reading a book is imagining the scene. Sound effects .... C-

Excellent book!

Ok, so I was a little skeptical to read this book after the reviews saying good book but bad ending. Well, let me tell you, the ending was perfect (or at least it was very fitting). I cried a bit, I’m man enough to admit that. Without giving anything away, if you think outside the box a little, you will understand it had to happen that way. Not everything can have the happy American ending where everything works out. It’s not real. Besides, the journey of this book, seeing Corey work, was a pleasure to go on. It brought back a lot of memories for this retired Navy vet who lived through ALL the events of this book. Just saying.

Another Homerun

I was wondering how the author was to end the book,he made it thrilling and somber at the same time, Another audible book by DeMille that kept me on the edge of my seat and intrigued. Loved the narrator; I'm certainly glad the author continues to have him read.

Genius

I have read and listened to all the John Corey series of books by the author, and I can say without blushing that Mr. Demille is a master storyteller. Night Fall itself is mind blowing genius. I am amazed at how the author's mind can come up with such an incredible story based upon the real life events described in the novel and interweave them into a fictional story with such intricate and believable detail. I am blown away.

amazing story by a talented writer, and one of the best narrators in the business. Could have done just as well without the unnecessary sound effects.

Long but it doesn't feel long

This book was on the longer side but the book moved at a quick pace. The DeMille/Brick combination is a good one and the John Coury books are particularly good. This one, dealing with the downing of TRW 800 captured me at the very beginning and I even did not guess the ending. Wow! The only thing I didn't like was this "Booktrack" edition. Too many sounds in the background. I would rather just hear the story.
