Loved!!

Awesome book! What a unique and dark twist on the traditional Peter Pan story. I loved Hooks character and the narrator but had a REALLY hard time understanding her he was saying half the time.

Hmm…it’s tough. I think I expected something like unto mpu. This is similar but so different too.

1. No mpu
2. Men’s narration so clipped.
3. Frustrating ending
4. But with those critiques…still worth it. I will definitely read the series.

So much more than I expected

Classic Jessa Hastings writing characters that you just want to shake some sense into. This was such an interesting and unexpected twist in Peter Pan. I couldn’t put it down.

Narration was awesome.

Angsty & Addictive

First of all, I want to say ignore the terrible reviews. While it is definitely not MPU, Jessa does in Never what she did best in the MPU……..she writes terribly flawed characters who betray themselves while they betray others they love. I loved Daphne’s character, although because of her age and inexperience in relationships she falls into a pattern of self-sabotage. Peter is utterly self-absorbed and lives only for his own pleasure. Jamison teases with the honesty of what he wants, but when he’s presented with the possibility of having it he chooses cowardice. I cannot wait to see where this series goes, because I trust that Jessa will weave a beautifully messy web that I want to get all tangled up in!

Loved the pan twist

I really enjoyed the messiness of this plot- typical of the Magnolia Parks series. I couldn’t tear myself away, and although I was frustrated and angry at characters often, I was greatly entertained. There are many points during which I really loved the characters, so it balances out.

Incredible

I loved this novel because it took me to a place I never imagined and I can’t wait for the next book to see what happens next!!!!

It was 5 star until the ending ….

I’m flabbergasted by the ending of this book. I absolutely loved it until the last 10% of this book. I don’t understand …..

Whimisical story

Listening to this was like candy for my ears. I will read/listen to anything Jessa Hastings writes! I feel like her writing thrived with this whimiscal retelling of Peter Pan. LOVED!
