Acerca de esta escucha

In the latest from the New York Times best-selling author of Murder of an Open Book, a school psychologist has her hands full after a school board sourpuss meets a bitter end.

With her morning sickness finally abated, Skye Denison-Boyd is ready to pounce on the pertinent problems she faces as Scumble River Elementary School's psychologist. After trying almost every trick in the book to aid a handful of socially awkward fourth grade boys, Skye opts for the innovative approach of pet therapy with the assistance of the local vet, a Siberian husky, and a Maine coon cat.

Unfortunately, the first session only breeds disaster and draws the ire of cantankerous school board member Palmer Lynch. But Skye's worry over the episode changes to dread after Lynch is found dead in his home with the therapy cat hidden in his garage. With a clowder of questions unleashed, Skye finds herself dealing with a killer who isn't pussyfooting around.

This is by far my favorite and it is number 29. They just keep getting better. Skye and Wally, Vince and Loretta are wonderful couples and good friends. And they are yet another couple to the group Abby and Lincoln. Trixie isn't has prominent in this story but I didn't mind that at all.

Really well written with a fantastic plot and the narration was really good.

My favorite

Such fun

I so much enjoy Ms. Swanson's books. Both of her series sparkle and ring true.
In the Murder of a Cranky Catnapper I loved puzzling-solving along with Skye. It was wonderful catching up with the old gang too. Sometimes I wish I hadn't already read all of the other books in this series so I could sit down and binge-read them! Maybe, I'll take a 'forget' pill so that I can start from the beginning.
Another winner!

Love Denise Swanson books. Good cozy mystery with interlocking sub-plots, great characters. The narrator did a wonderful job with the voices.

Another great author/narrator collaborative hit

Would you consider the audio edition of Murder of a Cranky Catnapper to be better than the print version?

I have never read the printed version so it is hard to answer this question but I do know that I like the audible books better than printed books because of the different voices and emotions that the reader gives you when they read the book to you.

What other book might you compare Murder of a Cranky Catnapper to and why?

It is hard to compare this one book since it is in a series of 19 books, it is easier to compare the series vs just one book, all the books in this series were great and they all picked up where the one before it left off. Similar to the Harry Bosch series.

What does Christine Leto bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

yes she does. I like when she does the voice for the Doogers and for May those are the best voices, she really helps you to see what they look like and how they act.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No not really, I think the only reaction I had was in the beginning when they found Polmer Lynch dead and how they found him. I was also shocked when I was listening to AJ's insurance fraud and how he had it running, I never picked up on that one.

Any additional comments?

Recently I began with book 1 in the series and just finished book 15 as well as the new addition. This is a terrific series, clean, friendly, and I loved the characters. Each character is unique and fun to follow. You can't go wrong reading or listening to the whole series.

Great Series

I have always enjoyed Denise Swanson's cozy mysteries but this one was so full of the issues of pregnancy, worry about lack of sex drive because of the pregnancy, and the like that it wasn't even fun to listen too. If I had to listen one more time about the fact that the heroine had to pee I would have given up on the book...ridiculous.

Not her best
