I love the cast of characters. I still don’t care for Cleo’s selfishness but I do want her and Harry to be together!

I love these series!

Love the setting and the story created by the author. The narrator does a great job of transporting us to that era. I enjoy the characters’ relationship evolving little by little and the way Harry is getting bolder when expressing his feelings towards Cleo. Please C.J., Keep them coming!

Wonderful series, phenomenal narrating, but…

I love this series, and the narrating is absolutely phenomenal. The mysteries are well crafted, the dialogue is witty, and the historical world-building is truly wonderful. I agree that the love story feels problematically protracted and over-complicated, though, with the main character’s rationale for resisting its development feeling increasingly trite and undeveloped. It’s getting to the point where it’s actively detracting from her complexity and likability, which is truly a shame. I hope this shifts soon, and that there are many more stories to come. (The author has done a great job in other series with keeping the interest after the will-they/won’t-they portion passes, so I have hope!)

Love Cleopatra Fox!

I love this series. Cleopatra is a great character with her wit and charm. All the supporting characters are just as good. The narrator Marian is amazing.

Loved it…can this please be a 20+ book series?

I’ve recently listened to all of the Cleopatra Fox books, and for the first time will need to wait for the next edition. I love each one and I think that they keep
getting better as we get deeper into the characters. Some nice nods to other series with facts about timepieces.

I love that I can’t guess the ending of the story! The characters are interesting and their relationships pull you in. Another great book!

The Cleopatra Fox mysteries are fun and easy listens. The main character, Cleo, lives in her relatives' hotel and along with heartthrob Harry finds herself in the middle of a mystery in each episode of the series. This one didn't disappoint, and I look forward to the next installment!

Amazing love story. It keeps me guessing and I never predict the criminal until way too late and in the book! I never want it to end! I want there to be millions of these haha

Another Fun One, Romance Dragged Out Too Long

This was another great Cleopatra Fox mystery, with everything you'd expect, including, sadly, no relationship progress. After 8 books, I feel like the author has dragged it out beyond being realistic, or the rational of the character making sense. That's why I deducted a star. Good mystery, same perfect narration.
