Great book

Loved the story, the performance and descriptions of certain things gave me chills and left me wanting more

Great characters

Loved the story line and suspense. You never know where it’s taking you, so pay attention to the details. Holly and Jerome are such good characters, and the narration is top notch.

What an amazing book!

I am a fan of King's work, and this book was exceptional. It had my at the edge of my seat more than once. Definitely worth the money.

What can I say? Between the amazing plot and the talented narrator this is a book I listened too twice. Back to back. Cause I wanted to make sure i missed nothing.

Pleasantly Surprised

This was the first Stephen King that I had read in over 20 years. Initially I could not get enough of his books and consumed them non-stop from our local library, after a while I noticed his pattern and his writing became predictable - in my opinion. This book ... this book was from fresh mold!

This book was a great listen, it took a while to get used to raspy voice but eventually the narration became part of the story and I loved it. Well worth the listen.

Brilliant!

What made the experience of listening to Mr Mercedes the most enjoyable?

Stephen King is a great writer and understands all the ways to keep you on the edge of your seat. Also, Will Paton is a great storyteller. This is win-win combination.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Absolutely. I think it's just the way the story was written and read. The pace is just right and it never lets up. My mind usually wanders when listening to books or I can't wait for the book to end so that I can listen to a new one, but this never happened while listening to Mr Mercedes and it's quite a long book.

Have you listened to any of Will Patton’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, but I'll definately look out for other books written by him.

One of the best books I've ever listened to.

Wow. King is the master of suspense, of character development, and of sick little twista and turns that send your stomach twisting, but in a good way. You're not just listening to a story, you're being picked up and flung on a journey. I loved it. The narrator was an absolutely perfect choice.
