should have been a short story

little of this book has any significance other than to convey the mood of the world. The story, when, it finally arrives in one burst of information, is intriguing and very nearly makes the previous monotonous reading worthwhile.

it was a good book, and I'll probably get the second one. but I wasn't fully into it.

its a great start to a awesome series

its the first of the series so there is a lot of set up and information that you get . the story is great and captivating and kept me wanting more. so love this and can't wait to get into the next

I truly loved revisiting Roland .I always feel like I am being pulled on a current or perhaps pulled on a" beam " .
the narrator was superb ,perhaps not gritty enough but perfect for a fantasy

The scene when Roland defeats his teacher with the help of David, the hawk, and becomes a Gunslinger.

No, I cannot say that it did.

I've heard a lot of good things about this series, so I decided to give it a shot. This first book was good, and the narration was great. It's not a great book, but the narrative is interesting and it's a good start to a story.

this book is awesome I'm glad I was turned on top the series, you see I was getting upset worth the narrators on some of these books, but the Steven king series delivers thanks a bunch...don't hesitate guys this is a good one. if you haven't already read it

I absolutely can not wait to start the next book! It was very well written and interesting. The narration was lovely and didn't bore me to death. I'm so excited to hear about Roland's adventures in the next book.

The same Stephen King we love but with a new flair!

Loved this book! Great narrator and the plot really builds! Characters are interesting and quite odd.

Amazing journey with a tough SOB

I’ve read the series and in each book King had pages from his journal and his thoughts and knowing that he decided to write this amazing journey and world riding on a motorcycle after Woodstock, super high and tripping makes you want to read it. This book was a great introduction to the long series to come, I’m listening to it for the first time and it seems better because obviously I couldn’t pronounce some of the words so hearing them made the story almost brand new for me. I would say if your a novice reader then I would most definitely listen to the audiobook.
This is probably one of the best series I’ve ever read and King is such a amazing writer I can actually visualize what’s going on while listening to it. If your someone who travels a lot, this is the book for you, if you like fantasy, then this is the book for you, romance, friendship, family, it’s got it all and you be disappointed. Some are better then others but I’ll let you be the judge of that. Dark Tower is right there next to LOTR and Star Wars. I wish the movie would have done it justice🤙🏽✌🏽
