On the fence!!
I liked the original Wolfe series and this is a continuation and update of both Z and one of the captives, Kaitlyn's story. Definitely do not ignore the subject matter warnings at the beginning of the story. I love MacKenzie and John Lane as narrators whether together or with other narrators. The story at times is a little too dark and sad for me as you might expect when you think about someone being held captive for over 10 years. The relationship between Luke and Kaitlyn was strong which was good, and Kaitlyn was stronger than she realized which is something else I liked. I finished this one but I did fast forward on some chapters when they were too much for me. I endured because of the author and narration. A few surprises in the story too. Overall I didn't hate it but I won't be adding this one to my favorites. We don't get our HEA just yet; but I'll keep moving forward and look for the next book in this saga.
