Kept my attention the whole time.....

I was provided this audio book at no charge by the author publisher and or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review via audiobook blast. com

All that said I loved it. Just about the time I thought it was going to go into too much detail she pulled me back from the edge. I loved the concept of this story. Woman has a child at a young age and gives it up for adoption. Moving forward 30 years the childs father dies and wants the child to know of family medical conditions. So mother finds child, and gets involved in her life but not easily and is much more realistic then most novels.
That is why I give it my love it vote. It makes it seem like it could really happen.
Please give this a read at a time that you can indulge in alot of undisturbed reading time cause it is one not to miss.

Great Life Drama

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. I sort of got this book accidentally as chic-lit romances are not a genre that I especially care for. So I was surprised that this wasn't a frivolous chick-lit romance rather it was a complex multi-threaded life drama dealing with love, loss, acceptance, unconditional love, families, heartache, secretes and much more.

The book kept my interest from the beginning to the end, It was a beautiful story and well written though perhaps a bit melodramatic at times. It was about the challenges of life and what is important in life.

Molly Harper chooses career over love and then has to live with the ramifications of her choice. As she matures and experience the ups and downs of life does she become wiser as to what the really important things are in life. Does her priorities change? Listen to the book to find the answer.

Good Women's Fiction

Molly Harper is women’s fiction and is full of drama and heartache. I don’t know how many times I found a tear or two rolling down my cheeks.

Everyone in Molly Harper has big secrets. What is interesting about their secrets, though, is that they’re understandable; however, they end up hurting their loved ones unintentionally because of the secrets that they’ve kept for so long.

The women in Molly Harper are strong yet vulnerable. I liked Molly, Noram, and Anne, although there were times that I wanted to shake some sense into Molly.

Emelle Gamble’s writing is easy to follow and flows well. I had the audiobook and the narrator, Caroline Price, did a good job for the most part but once in a while I couldn’t tell who was talking.

If you like women’s fiction, I definitely recommend Molly Harper but keep a box of Kleenex handy.

A Great Book - Muliple Threads But Easy to Follow

Molly Harper is a bombshell, successful movie actress. Her best friend since childhood is Cruz Morales and they are inseparable. Until, Molly gets engaged to actor, Ben Delgado. Delgado is a man after his own heart...err I mean career. From the moment Molly becomes engaged things are strained between Molly and Cruz… But I'm getting ahead of myself.

Molly's mother, Norma, is a strong woman, well respected and of good stature on the West Coast. She has provided for Molly anything she could possibly dream of. She cannot wait to meddle in her life – to be helpful, of course – and knows how to keep things stirred up just a bit.

Ann Sullivan is a lovely lady whose husband is fighting cancer. When he passes, she moved out to the West Coast. Harboring a secret that will bring all of these ladies, their family and friends into life altering circumstances.

I was really amazed by Caroline Price's performance. Her voice was smooth when needed and a bit rough when that needed to happen. She moved flawlessly amongst male and female characters without missing a beat. A five-star performance, by a true professional.

*I received this book in exchange for my review. It was not hard to listen to! I thoroughly enjoyed it – except for the part about and & her husband. I didn't know what they had to do with anything but that is revealed later on.

This should be considered Chic Lit or light Contemporary Romance (which is what I think it is currently categorized as.) I think this is enjoyable for men and women alike. A great beach read or afternoon/evening listening.

Didn't think I'd like it but I did

What made the experience of listening to Molly Harper the most enjoyable?

Molly Harper was interesting and believable. I liked how it showed how some people lie and others are honest.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

I didn't like the ending, but that was the only part I didn't like - maybe it was because I wasn't ready for it to end.

Which scene was your favorite?

I loved the scenes with her mother.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

All the scenes with her mother were moving.

The author presented the information in a way that was easy to follow, plus it pulled the reader in from the very beginning. I raised my eyebrows a time or two, said, "Hmmmmm," plus I cried. And I'm not an easy crier. Everything was great about the reader's performance and I want to listen to her read other books. She had a strong voice which was perfect for a strong character like Molly. The author presented the information in a way that was easy to follow, plus it pulled the reader in from the very beginning. I raised my eyebrows a time or two, said, "Hmmmmm," plus I cried. And I'm not an easy crier. I definitely want to hear more about Cruz. I mean about Molly and Cruz. No. About Cruz. He sounded delicious.

What an insipid story

A run of the mill lackluster. dull, vapid story. About the worst accidentally bought story ever.
