Excellent

loved it. Longworth brings a stunning performance to a wonderful piece of fiction.

I will admit that I found it slow to start after the opening scene, but I stuck with it and thoroughly enjoyed the payoff. Largely, this can be attributes to Longworth's narration and rendition of each character.

The story is quite good indeed, a great read... but Longworth makes the entire piece excellent.

Weakest in the series

Great action, cunning politics, but the resolution and some plot points are a little lazy.

Good 2nd Entry

not quite as good imo as the first book. i found myself getting lost and bored with some of the scenes and characters, but still worth a liste. i think its just a bit too far removed from the first book. same characters and universe, but set like 80 years later from the first book. narrator is the same as the first book so hes still awesome. ill be picking up the third next

Even better than the first!

The idea of a James Bond style intrigue novel in the 41st millennium was an excellent start point. It was the strength that the first book Xenos was based off of. Malleus takes that idea to a whole new level with the introduction of deep morality choices and whether ends can justify means. All of the strong points that i expected from the first novel are here with so much more on top. This goes far beyond a Warhammer book, it becomes a class of its own!

Near mastery

Just the character development and the exploration of adhering to principles in pursuit of a desperate cause is frankly brilliantly done. worth the hours and the credit.

A good sequel with some glaring flaws

Malleus is great don’t let the 4 on story day anything else but I do have my issues with it. But first the good. Gregor, fischig, and bequin are still amazing. More cherubael. It plays out more like a massive conspiracy which is great. The downsides. Only two of the characters introduced in this book are any good. Kneeve and the new pilot. The new daemonhost is boring and Quixos is extremely disappointing. I understand why he was the anatagonist but honesty we get like 7 minutes with him before he dies and yes Gregor makes a remark about how disappointing he was. But still it feels like there was too much telling not enough showing.

Great follow up to Xenos

Be sure to do these in order, strong on its own but better as if you read the first.

Great book and audiobook. Fantastic narrator!

The eisenhorn trilogy had been recommended to me as a good starting point for getting introduced to the Warhammer 40k universe. so far the book series has been fantastic and the narrator is so good.

Flashes of greatness

This book is solid but lacks some of the charm the original cast had and also has heavy pacing issues. The last two chapters should have simply been a third book

Great Read and performance

this book was great and held my attention with it's plot and characters. Glade I got the series
