Excellent ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This fascinating, action-paced mafia arranged marriage romance is an outstanding addition to the “Young Irish Rebels” series.  It definitely caught and held  my attention within the first few pages and kept it until the end. I would highly recommend it and suggest you read book 1 first to help you have a better understanding.

Book 2 in Young Irish Rebels - can be standalone

This is book 2 in Carter's Young Irish Rebels series and while we got a small taste of Shay in book one this is his and Emma's story. While it can be read / listened as a stand alone I would recommend doing this in series order as characters cross over and you'll get a better feel and history on them. Well written and perfect dual narration - I can not rave enough about these narrators! Dual narration is always a plus but these two are absolute perfection, especially with these irish accents - oh my gracious! Anyway - a great storyline. Reader and listener should be warned this is not a sweet mafia good guy romance - this is dark and mafia murder, twists and turns kinda read but even with that there is a humanity that is relatable and lovable. I really did love this read / listen and can't wait to hear more not only from these narrators but also from these young and thirsty for power, respect and love irish mafia rebels.

Entertaining!

This is the second book in the Young Irish Rebels series, a Dark Irish Mafia. Emma and Shay's story is entertaining, fast-paced, and filled with danger, and many twists and turns. Emma is such a fantastic character. She is naive, but so strong, smart, and brave. Shay is handsome, revengeful, determined, and caring. They are perfect together. Curt Bonnem and Allyson Voller did an excellent job with the narration. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to listening to Mafia Games, the next book in the series. #TheFlock

Mafia King

This is the second book in the Young Irish Rebels series. We got glimpses of Shay in the first book. I love how we got to see his what makes him tick. Shay is determined to find his brother’s killer. Emma is a young 18 year old girl that has been waiting for marriage day. Until she finds out she will be marrying Shay O’Reagan a Northern Irish Mafia king instead of Jack O’Reagan. Curt Bonnem and Allyson Voller did a great job narrating this book.

okay this was actually very good. well written, I just enjoyed very bit of it. I was so into this book that I couldn't put it down. lol the narrator's did a really good job.

One of my favorites! So twisty and action filled

What an amazing story! Filled twists, turns, intrigue and OMG moments! I can not believe all the action that is in here. The characters are fabulous! They have depth and strong ethics. I really loved getting taken into the lives of Shay and Emma. Shay is a knockout and at times I did not understand his motives for everything he did but as the story progresses I came to like him. Emma is strong willed and doesn't go down easy. I became impressed with her as the story moves along.

I did listen to this on audio. Narrators are Curt Bonnem and Allyson Voller. They are both first timers for me. Mr Bonnem surprised me with his voice selection for Shay. I actually loved it it made him sound tougher….so well done!

I look forward to the next one!

Mafia King is the second book in the Young Irish Rebels series. While you don't have to have read book one to enjoy this book. The details you need to know from book one are mentioned which was great since it's been a while since I've listened to book one. Mafia King feature Emma and Shay. Emma is to be married but at the last minute her husband to be changes. Shay, her new future husband, is from the north of Ireland. Her preconceived notions about Northerners makes her wary of him. Wary but attracted to him, much to her dismay. I loved Emma's fiery personality. She's smart, feisty and a fighter - much to Shay's dismay. The chemistry between them is explosive when they fight and when they fork. I never know what was going to happen next, who was friend, who was foe. This is great series and Mafia King is a fabulous addition to it.

dark, intense

Emma, at 18, is arranged to marry. It's not to whom she thinks. She was hoping to be marrying Jack O'Reagan, but becomes engaged to Shay O'Reagan, from Northern Ireland. She thinks the worst of him, and is very wary of his actions.
She is headstrong making her brother keep a promise that may cost their lives.
Shay is determined to find out who was behind his brother's murder in a cage fight. He is ruthless, loyal and protective of Emma.
There is a lot going on in this story, suspense, brutality, betrayal, secrets, lies, revenge.
Allyson Voller, and Curt Bonnem narration is very good.

Author is new to me but I love this book! I want more. I want more of Nova or Liam as well. Curt and Allyson did an excellent job at narrating

I enjoyed this book, and the narration was spectacular! Loved the accents! Emma and Shay make a good couple and while part of a series, this book can definitely read as a standalone. The epilogue has a tie in to the next in series, which is cool - and I am eager to read it. All in all worth your credit and worth your time. Enjoy!
