Go After Love!!!

This was my first listen of the work by this author, and she did not disappoint. It was not the ordinary boy meets girl, falls in love, and run off into the sunset. The narrators were perfect for the roles. I’ve heard Ebony, before and she was great. But, this Tony, whew chile…he has an amazing voice. I will definitely be peeping out any other books that he narrates. It was such a unique storyline. I appreciated Nissi’s forwardness. I mean when there is someone you want, you go for it, even if you have to put yourself out there. She was going to be in touch with her knight and shining armor. TikTok made it work for her, and that little glitch in the elevator - until Kannon had to mess it up with his leaving out a very important detail. It was definitely love at first sight between Nissi and Kannon, but it was a challenge getting them to each other once those blocks were put before them. I admire that they both were upfront with their previous connections; the fact that they weren’t meant for each other. They knew it would be wrong to string them along, when their heart was with someone else. That takes courage to admit that, although it might cause some hurt. I loved the dynamics between Nissi and her sisters and Kannon and his brother (by the way, I look forward to Kinston’s story, with Angela??).

All the feels

The story gave me all the feels. Nissi was a career woman who wanted real love deep down. She unexpectedly finds just that when love hits her at first sight when Kannon appears before. Their story isn’t an easy one and mimics the topsy-turvy twists love can take when you’re not prepared. But what I loved is that she stood on how she wanted to be treated. Kannon made a crucial misstep but he proved that he was a decent man by correcting his errors. The banter between the siblings and friends was reflective of real life relationships. Such a relatable and mature book.

I wasn’t sure when this book started if I was going to get into it. Well it turned out to be one of the best books I’ve read. Great character development and a really sweet love story.

Annoyed

8hrs+ and only got like a good 10mins of them actually being happy….. I’m very annoyed. This had the potential to be a really good story. The narrators were amazing tho.

I love the overall story but the characters were dragging it out FR! But that’s how it be in real life so I get it! I love love at first sight.

One of the best rom-coms I've listened to in a very long time. The narrators both added that extra "umph" that truly made listening to this story amazing. I was thoroughly entertained from beginning to end. The author did a fantastic job!!

I didn’t know how to feel in the beginning but boy did this play out like a true romance novel with so many twists n turns my head was spinning one minute, crying the next, then signing! Well done and with absolutely relatable characters! Worth the credit indeed 🥰💕
