Joe is too real, I'm in love

Honestly this was a pretty real book. I love it, I was skeptical at first but omg a great read

Beautiful but….

I loved the story and I loved the narrator’s voice when she was performing her own voice, BUT when she was talking or performing her 18 year old sister or her dad’s voice it made me cringe!!!! This was not an 18 year old girl’s voice, this was an over the top older person voice! I was so happy (at least) after each performance she mentioned who was the person she had said that otherwise I would have thought the whole time it was an old man or an old person talking. These awful voices ruined the whole book for me unfortunately !

Funny, happy and a little snarky and still with a great end loved it

I loved this book. There is only good feedback to give. It asks what I hate about it for the review, however, I hate giving any feedback that is negative about a book like this! Who wants to focus on negative feedback on a great book.

Loved everything about this book!

I really enjoyed this story and loved all the characters. A truly delightful read/listen. Love the author and looking forward to exploring all of her books.

Great banter, real characters

Like many, I am a romance and rom-com lover. This book feels like a rom-com for both readers and authors!

In defense of romance

Similar to Katherine Center’s The Rom-Commers in its fierce defense of the romance novel, but with lots of lol British humor. The FMC’s brother William stole the show. And the narrator had a perfect voice for the MMC.

Ugh, so good!!

Loved the story and the performance. I wish there had been an epilogue, though, or a follow up on the sequel and next steps in their romance!

Hilarious moments

There were so many scenes that were hilarious. One “fight” scene reminded me of the Mark Darcy and Daniel Cleaver fight scene in Bridget Jones’s Diary, but even funnier. There’s a little Notting Hill and Pride & Prejudice too.
Really liked the characters and they were well-fleshed out.
