Wicked deception

This story was very good. Going in, I was not sure I would enjoy it but I was pleasantly surprised. Friday Judith Rose did a great job with the narration. I received this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Great story

This really is a great story, it had a few hot scenes as well. If it hadn’t left me with a few unanswered questions (that could easily have been answered in an epilogue) it would have been a solid 5 stars for me.

I think the narrator did a good job here.

Romance Novel - HOT Tropes

WARNING: The publisher warns this is a reissue of an earlier book which had a different title, but does not tell us what the title is.

Humm..the heroine, dressed as a male, captains her recently deceased father's cargo ship, when enroute she is captured and ravaged by a pirate, only to meet him again in a Boston ballroom before a forced marriage is imposed. Enough romance novel tropes yet?

Excellent Narrating!!!

I absolutely loved all of the voices for the different characters!!!! Friday really allowed me to get swept up in the story. She has amazing range and she really created a world that I could visualize, I would certainly check out anything else this narrator was involved in! Looking forward to more recordings from her in the future!

Wickedly Good!

Pirates and lords and swooning maidens, oh my! I enjoyed this cross-continental historical adventure immensely. I hope to see more from this author and hear more from the narrator!

A fun and sultry read

This book drew me in with its alluring characters and dramatic start, and kept me around for the emotional arc, Though I found it quite predictable, it was great fun. The narrator's dedication to the real feeling of the story was truly wonderful; it felt as though she was reading it just for me! This seems a great genre for her and I'll be seeking more of her narration, as well as more books by Kristina Saxon.
