Acerca de esta escucha

I want to give a voice to the ones who cannot speak, be it, a baby, a child or an elderly. It takes me so long to have the courage to write a book, to have my voice heard, and eventually to self-publish it. It has been a long journey in the last 7 years and not an easy one when I took my professional work to Singapore. This book is written from the perspective of the Asian Culture in Singapore. It is not a technique or method book. It is written from a place of reflection on the process emerged from the research and from my own journey, both personally and professionally. I am grateful for the opportunity to be involved in a research and project, engaged by Dr Felicia Low, director of Community Cultural Development, to explore the principle of person-centred care and dance movement therapy approach in my designed creative dance movement programme with the elderly with dementia. I also want to thank my dance movement therapist peer, Jess Hu Chia Chun, for the period where we exchanged and shared knowledge. Her contribution of her own experiences and knowledge is very much valued and proved very valuable in my journey with my work with the elderly. Even though, I move on to another direction and path in my new life as a spiritual director/companion, I still continue to offer workshops of my love for creative arts in Nature. I am inspired to turn my writing into an Ebook and I hope you will find it useful as an artist, facilitator or therapist, as you journey with your participant in the creative therapeutic process.
