Great book 2!
Not sure how King produces so much great stuff so quickly, but you're not going to hear me complaining about it.
Our legend turned farmer can't stay away from trouble and the public eye and there's even more of it here in book 2.
Now he's got 2 women and a Pooka (not in the harem) to keep safe and take care of. Will there be more added in book 3?

excellent book 2

I'm really enjoying this series so far. I love stories like this. powerful mc that is looking for a slow life and for the most part succeeds. but something always seems to happen to keep them from completely living that life. the characters are well written and funny. Definitely worth the listen

it's good for a dante book

I do like the story but for once I'll complain that a dante king book is short on spice lol. I do like the book and the ending has me wanting to read the next book.

this was pretty good

decent mix of slice of life and action... good characters, nice progression, and I like the direction it seems to be going.

Very little happens

This second book was a sleepy letdown. Nothing happens, the only thing of note is when MC collects some ingredients for a potion that is to help is hunter girlfriend. The showdown between Val and a magical monster was lazy, instead of MC defeating it a mage uses fireball and blows it up. Furthermore, in the first book the author wrote in a couple of steamy/ intimate scenes but didn't put any in this one. Which tells me he can't decide if they want a harem fantasy or a slice of life/ " cozy" fantasy.

this book is Insanely short nothing really progresses and half the short book are these extremely long winded analogies the mc comes up that just make it annoying to listen the mc drone on about nothing listened at 1.2 and still felt like nails o. chalkboard

not for me

not much substance, lacking in spicy scenes with a few fade to black scenes(lame!) why even write up to it in the first place, way too vanilla, a few pointless interactions. no real relationship progression. goes from just meeting to we are together now with none of the conversations new couples or couples in general have.
