As a hobby trader, as I understood and believe it, you need to have an actual interest. Which would mean approaching trading beyond just being a chore. If you enjoy listening to the ruminations of a long dead turn of the century stock operator then i would say you've gone beyond that (and are in the right direction!)

May be great, but not for me :-(

In short - seems like a great edition of this classic book, but not what I was looking for.

I heard a lot about this book. It's not a new one, but as many say the market wisdom it has is important for any investor. I am not a professional and was hoping to get some of that wisdom. When this edition came out, with the extra book and a new narration that seems better than the other editions - I though it's a good opportunity to order.

It may be the book is great with a lot of wisdom, and the narration is indeed very good, but unfortunately this book is not for me. It is not a book that teaches you about investing per-se, you have to listen to the long story being told and extract the wisdom by yourself (at least in the first part which is Livermore's story). Much of the story is about how stocks were traded a century a go - and therefore it is outdated. I will look for an investing book that maybe is less hyped but may be more practical for me.

PS - if you want this book, consider buying the Kindle edition + add Audible narration that will cost less than $10, that's cheaper than the Audible 'credit' will cost most people.
