From 1949 to 1960, he served as an assistant to the chairman and manager of the economics department at Socony Mobil Oil. Following this venture, he was a partner in the investment firm of Scudder, Stevens & Clark until his retirement in 1970.

Recipe for Stock Inbesting Success

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, which showed the power of buying the right companies and holding on forever. Do that and you'll have a shot at turning 1 dollar into 100 dollars. Buy right and hold on.

Required reading for investors

Replace company names with MSFT, GOOG etc and this could have been written yesterday / brilliant book and reminds you that human nature doesn’t change

Many timeless principles of investing. Difficult to relate to our current era with vastly different circumstances, but the basic principles hold good.

so many incredible lessons and insights from this book. The price should be a lot higher because it's value provided is currently undervalued. fantastic book!

Investing Psychology hasn’t changed over the decades

Interesting history written in 1973 back to the 1920’s If you changed the names of the companies it could have written now.

Great book for knowledgeable long term investors.

This is not a get rich or easy investing book. It is also not about buying a lotto ticket that will make you 100x’s your money. It’s about a new way to see the market & the world of investing. Short sighted stock traders are truly wasting their time with this book. People without true vision & courage are also wasting their time. I rear another review here from an id**t saying this book will not work because we are bot in the Great Depression. He or she is dumb & missing the entire point of this book. If you could read this book & turn your bag investments into 2, 3, 4, 5 or 10 baggers. That would bot be worth the few hours & $10 for the book ?
