Great story!

I love the military dystopian stories. This book doesn't disappoint! Please write more. I like to think more has happened in the future of these characters.

Needed a good editor

Good story and characters. I'm having vision problems, and welcomed the chance to try an AI narrator. I was surprised at how listenable this was. But a sharper editor could have caught the mispronunciations in the first book so they wouldn't have been repeated throughout. (mostly in gun descriptions such as 30 dash zero 6 instead of 30 aught six, and cal read as calories instead of cartridge). Also "Hell of a .. " was pronounced hell- loffa. Minor error, but repeated inn all volumes.

AI narrative

Story was good but AI narration is awful. No inflections whatsoever. Flat and hard to listen to.

great read

I listened to all three books, I found them very interesting and easy to get my head into. Only dislike was the virtual voice. We really need more voice actors.

Not your usual zombies

Disliked the mispronunciation of several words. Big difference in 50 cal and 50 calories, lol. Otherwise an interesting story.

virtual voice ruins

Authors should just read their books themselves or have a buddy read them. Virtual voice took a really good book and made it okay. It was very good other than squirrel has very little fat and no one on earth wants to eat a squirrel or raccoon gag over beef. He talked like the one cow that they killed wouldn't be enough for six people. after processing there would be about 500 lb of meat. that goes a long way.

Engaging. Kept me interested with the plot and the characters. Love the mystery and the ending. I am looking forward to reading more books from this author.

The story itself was fantastic

The AI narration was abysmal at best. It was so bad that I hope to never run across it again. That was cheap and chinsy. Please do not ever make another audio book that has the AI narration again.

AI naration sucks

This could totally be a great novel, but the AI narrator completely takes you out of the story. No difference between the character voices, mispronunciation of words, monotone voice, it all just sucks. Stop this AI crap. I’m just going to avoid anything that is AI vocalized.
