Acerca de esta escucha

In a clash of light and darkness, can courage prevail? Rescuing a toddler from the jaws of a mountain lion, Trevor MacDaniel, a high-country outfitter, sets in motion events he can’t foresee. His act of bravery entwines his life with gifted sculptor Natalie Reeve—and attracts a grim admirer. Trevor’s need to guard and protect is born of tragedy, prompting his decision to become a search and rescue volunteer. Natalie’s gift of sculpting comes from an unusual disability that seeks release through her creative hands. In each other they see strength and courage as they face an incomprehensible foe. When a troubled soul views Trevor as archangel and adversary, Redford’s peaceful mountain community is threatened. Together with Police Chief Jonah Westfall, Trevor presses his limits to combat the menace who targets the most helpless and innocent.

Reseñas de la Crítica

“With a gifted pen, Kristen Heitzmann weaves a gripping tale of intense trials, and she peoples it with brave, ravaged souls who mold their limitations into blessings—and soar! Courageous. Remarkable. Insightful. Indelible is all that and more.” (Vicki Hinze, award-winning author of Deadly Ties)

“Kristen Heitzmann is a masterful storyteller. With compelling characters, lyrical prose, and spine-chilling suspense, she weaves another rich tapestry in Indelible.” (Colleen Coble, author of Lonestar Angel and the Rock Harbor series)

I thought this was really good!

I don’t really understand the negative reviews. Maybe they didn’t understand spiritual things? The real battle of good and evil in this world? Anyway, very interesting. Well written. Well performed. I wish Kristen would make another sequel. I need to know more abt Piper and Miles. 😍

Great Narrator.... Storyline, Not So Much!

Kirsten Potter is one of my most favorite female narrators, but she could not elevate this story. As a matter of fact, I could hardly believe that she agreed to read this sappy, other worldly mumbo-jumbo. I really struggled with listening to this story which seemed to go in circles. The opening scene was very interesting and had promise of developing into a really good mystery/suspense. The back stories about the two main characters was really interesting and their back stories supported why and how they became who they are today: a gifted sculptor with a photographic "eidetic" memory like Dustin Hoffman's Rain Man and a high country outfitter who is also a search and rescue volunteer.

I really thought this would be a good whodunit murder mystery/suspense story. There was nothing really interesting, except if you think it's interesting that a madman who dress in masks with horns and goes around kidnapping babies and children and then leave them in precarious places like the middle of the road, up in trees or hanging off cliffs....

I don't mind stories which have "other-worldly" themes, but I struggled with the villain passages which I understand was an attempt to parallel the villain in Milton's Paradise Lost. But the scenes was overwhelmingly frustrating and confusing for me.

This one was not for me. I was bored and could not finish.... didn't really care what happened or what the outcome would be. Also this is the sequel to the first novel by this author called Indivisible. There should be a warning/disclaimer that this novel is a sequel.

edge of my seat suspense

So many twists and mind games. Each time you think you have it figured out, you find out you don't.

kinda scifi but not

Fascinating, likable characters...except for one. Sequel, but just slightly. Ended needing one more sequel. I'll be looking.

Superb!

I really enjoyed this book and own both the Audible and Kindle versions. I have listened to the book twice and read it twice. It is a continuation of the first in the series, but listeners/ readers do not have to experience the first book to understand. It works very well as a stand alone novel. I listened to Indelible first and like it better than the first.

As a teen, I read Mary Stewart books. Heitzmann writes somewhat in the same manner, using classic literature to add depth to the narrative, in this case, Paradise Lost. I enjoyed the structure of the story which draws parallels between the fall of mankind and Satan to the characters and plot of the book.

But at the heart of the novel are characters who have lost something or someone, sometimes due to their own mistakes and sins and sometimes due to the mistakes and sins of others. They all must find a way to rebuild their lives after great tragedy. In this, Heitzmann offers some insight that may comfort those who find themselves in difficult circumstances, which though presented in the novel’s fictional context, are not unlike what we experience in our own lives. The book is hopeful, uplifting, and real.

I like that the novel doesn’t wait until the last minute or use some grand gesture or cleared up misunderstanding to bring the couple together. Instead, we see a growing relationship as trust grows between the two. Trever and Natalie make a compelling case for love as they grow to find comfort and peace in one another.

The narrator is fantastic. I loved listening to her voice which is rich and full. She handles the prose and characterizations so well that I had to purchase the Audiobook myself instead of just listening to it on the Libby app on which my local library owns a copy.

Indelible is my favorite Heitzmann book so far. It is definitely worth the listen and purchase.

MELODRAMATIC!!!

I was intrigued by the story premis, but greatly disappointed. The characters developed through mela-dramatic soliloquy. I get more than enough egoic drama in the office, not interested in the ridiculousness while listening to a novel.
