Suspense

loved the story but, Avery drove me crazy. Shane deserved someone better. Someone who stood up for him better than she did. And she acted like a spoiled brat.

Very hot, good story

This story is a very hot light spanko erotica with a fairly good plot. The narrators are very good, I love having a male and female pair. Glad to see Marlee Wray finally on Audible, I hope to see much more from this author coming to Audible.

I just love Shane! I'm obsessed with this book! Avery's mother, on the other hand, is annoying. I understand she has trauma but she's literally forcing everyone around her to live the consequences of her trauma. Instead of raising her daughter to be strong and not take shit from anyone, she succumbs to her paranoia and just wants to wrap her child in a bubble.

I loved the book when I read it and thought the audible was an excellent interpretation of the characters. I can’t wait for the audible of the next two dark knights books

This is book 1 of a new series but still connected to C Crue World. Shane is Avery’s stepbrother who he hasn’t spoken to in 2 years due to accusation from her Mom. Now Avery is starting in his college. There is a serial killer, Casanova, on the loose so she comes to Shane for protection for which he says yes for sexual favors… there is an HEA.

Shane is rich, confident, strong. I wish he would have been more dominant. Avery is a virgin in every way but there were not enough smexcy scenes for me. There was one scene of wearing kitten tail and he does take all 3 of her holes eventually.

His friend Declan is the next book. I will definitely read it!

I love when an author connects prior worlds so seeing the appearance of Joe Sullivan, head of Irish mafia as Shane’s grandpa is cool.

Well done

Story was well written and exciting to the end. There are question marks and surprises throughout making it unique in its storytelling style.

Avery's mom married Shane's dad and immediately after moving him her mom had doubts towards Shane and caused separation between the family due to her own personal drama. She was protecting her daughter from going through the same thing. Something happended which it was all Avery's fault but that mistake might of cause Shane his freedom (jail time) when they find her drunk and naked in the basement (which was Shane's courters) Avery's mom thought she was raped by Shane and called the police. From there he lost trust in his dad and Avery. 2 years passed and they both ended up going to the same college and now there is a killer on the loose and it seems he got his eyes on Avery. She never felt safe anywhere but with Shane so she went to his own and asked for help-which he denied. He is still hurt abt the past and she begs him to let her stay there and she will do anything. He agrees to let her stay there if she can be his s*x toy. I really like this story, it is different. The narration was really good.

Loved it

Loved all of this story only thing as a Bostonian the accent was too strong but he did well. Hope to have more like these.
