Suspense

loved the story but, Avery drove me crazy. Shane deserved someone better. Someone who stood up for him better than she did. And she acted like a spoiled brat.

Very hot, good story

This story is a very hot light spanko erotica with a fairly good plot. The narrators are very good, I love having a male and female pair. Glad to see Marlee Wray finally on Audible, I hope to see much more from this author coming to Audible.

Loved all of this story only thing as a Bostonian the accent was too strong but he did well. Hope to have more like these.

What a TWIST

So, I thought I had this one figured out, but I was wrong wrong wrong. I loved the story telling, the narrators were great and fit the characters in my opinion. There are absolutely dark romance tropes going on here, so if dub-con isn't your thing, I would go find something else. It isn't HARD dub-con, but there is definite coercion and a little power play going on here. I loved how protective the MMC is of the FMC. Also, the step sibling thing can be an ick for some, but the step sibling trope is a late teenage years introduction, so they definitely weren't raised together. Just a heads up on that. I honestly loved this book and the dark themes weren't TOO dark. Kind dark light, or grey really. Anyways, hope this helps future readers/listeners!

I loved the book when I read it and thought the audible was an excellent interpretation of the characters. I can’t wait for the audible of the next two dark knights books

This is book 1 of a new series but still connected to C Crue World. Shane is Avery’s stepbrother who he hasn’t spoken to in 2 years due to accusation from her Mom. Now Avery is starting in his college. There is a serial killer, Casanova, on the loose so she comes to Shane for protection for which he says yes for sexual favors… there is an HEA.

Shane is rich, confident, strong. I wish he would have been more dominant. Avery is a virgin in every way but there were not enough smexcy scenes for me. There was one scene of wearing kitten tail and he does take all 3 of her holes eventually.

His friend Declan is the next book. I will definitely read it!

I love when an author connects prior worlds so seeing the appearance of Joe Sullivan, head of Irish mafia as Shane’s grandpa is cool.

Story was well written and exciting to the end. There are question marks and surprises throughout making it unique in its storytelling style.
