Well Done

Stayed true to the previous book and our favorite MC has some major growth and development overall 5 stars no complaints

Great book good history good pace

I enjoyed this book as much as the first book.It kept up a good amount of adventure and character development.

Stream of consciousness style

This was a good book for the genre and I liked the power, though it’s not as useful in this book. My only real complaint is that if you can I’d recommend reading this one right after the other as there is really no break and is very much like the style of continuation in stream of consciousness writing. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing but if you don’t like unconventional writing styles and chaos in the ‘plan’ of storylines then maybe just listen to this for fun with out taking it too seriously as I did. I did find it enjoyable but I liked the first one better.

Not as good as the first

The book kind of bogged down in the middle. It wasn’t bad, but was not like the first. I’ll probably get the next one to make a decision about continuing the series.

Of course the hijinx in the south. review reader don't look for spoilers here heheheh.

That I have to wait until March of next year for book 3. Keep up the good work author it was a blast.

Progression is Amazing

The progression of the MC and comrades is amazing. The MC is not OP and actually has to develop in a reasonable way. This now a top 8 series for me.

Book 2 is so action packed and amazing. It was very interesting to see the new pathway chartered by following the black bone shaman and the introduction of the peach wine people! I couldn’t stop listening. And can’t wait for book 3! I am only sad Chen Haoran is not Recovering a bit of his memory from the body he is inhabiting by now or at least able to discover more based on characters who know his father the dragon king a bit more by now. But I do like how we find out more each book about Chen Haoran’s background. I would have loved for Lan Fen to have returned more in this book but hope to hear more in book 3 about her pathway intersecting again with young master Haoran. Also how can he be appalled about a dragon spirit when he is taking over someone’s body, kind of pot and kettle situation is my thought!!! But really great work keep the stories coming!!!

Better then the First!

I found this book to be enjoyable and the growth of the MC amazing. J.S. is becoming one of my fav narrators! This is a cultivation novel done right! Looking forward to more! Worth the credit!

Pretty Good Story with some Cultivation

This book was a bit wordy. I enjoyed the cultivation aspects of the story.

The events of the book were interesting and showed a good example of the genre for combat.
