This book gave me so much perspective on life and helped see things in a different light. I highly recommend everyone to read this book!

The author’s story is inspiring. It’s compelling and very well written. My brother gifted me this book so I had no clue what it was about until I listened to it. Veneno’s resiliency to personal hardships is encouraging for anyone feeling like they are going through a rough patch. It’s a quick and easy listen and I’m sure I’ll end up listening to it over again. Thank you for putting your story out there. It reminds me why I, myself, need to keep fighting for life and discover my own purpose for being here.

From darkness and despair to the light

This personal story proves that no matter how dark your life is, there is always light at the end of the tunnel. You just need to walk towards it one step at a time. You will be sad and crying when you read what Mannie and his family went through, but by the end you will be crying tears of joy to read that Mannie made it out of the dark.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book because it was so raw and I could relate to it on so many levels. I felt many emotions throughout the course of the book, but I love the overall message. no matter what the author went through he still came out strong in the end. Awesome read!

I’m coming from @darius_dk Page from Instagram. I’ve only listened to the first 3 chapters and I can honestly say I’m intrigued. This book is how I will spend my night. The Story you are telling is so relatable to many; and the way it’s being told has me envisioning it in mind as if I was watching a movie. Great work.

He came from a hard life and made sure he made it out of that it really is inspirational that he went from being poor and abused to upgrading his life for a better one even though he got in trouble a few times he still was able to turn all that around
