narration not so much

so did not like the narration... she sounded like a robot. story was just so busy that I had a hard time keeping up with it all.( both books -last and next to last book). totally love this series, but the last 2.. eh.

Book is amazing

Book is excellent and follows the series with great new plot twists and character development. Sadly this narrator does not do the book justice.

Not the Best Narrator, but you get used to her

Good addition to the Cassie Palmer world despite being very long with many areas that could have been abbreviated. Also, while the narrator is like the female version of William Shatner in terms of vocal ability and the fact that all the men sound the same, you get used to her after a while as the story grabs you. Can't wait for the next one, although I know I will have to. :)

Amazing Story

Love everything Karen Chance writes! This was such an amazing addition to the series and I can't wait for the next one. I do miss the last narrator, as I felt she really captured the essence of Cassie but regardless, this book has everything anyone could ask for: laughter, tears, action, romance, friendship, a superb magical world... I could go on. I wish more people would read these novels.

Good story, but the narration is hard to listen to

The story was great, but the narration takes a lot of getting used to. Very Robotic when reading most of it, which is a good bit of the book since Cass is telling the story. But most of the time, the narrator animates the character voices when they have dialog.

Good story, terrible voice actor

Listening to the most graphic and intense story from Karen Chance ever in a voice that sounds disturbingly like Alexa is a surreal experience.

Good book

I liked the book but the narrator sucks. Speed it up and it’s a little better.

narrator change

I love this author and her books. With that being said, if they had started out with this narrator I would not have listen to this series which would have been a shame. As it is I'm struggling through her slow reading and lilting her speech down at the end of every sentence. The only way I have been able to tolerate it is listening to the book so 1.5x speed. Good grief. Don't they check to see if the narrator sounds good while reading the book. She does not read like the other authors in this series. Maybe she is for other books but definitely not for this one.

Action

Battles!! Plenty of action and drama! The story was interesting and entertaining but jumps all over the place. The narrator did a good job with providing unique voices for each character and appropriate tone inflections for each scene.
