Not Bad

Storyline was interesting; however, the story was a bit slow-going. Love Aiden’s voice; both narrators did a great job! 👏🏾

loved the narrators. love them separately but having them together really made the story that much better.

I was completely hooked on the storyline. It was exactly what I needed to read, with everything I love. From the moment Clarissa's father made his dying request to James, the tension and emotions were palpable. I appreciated how the author portrayed the conflict between James' devotion to protecting Clarissa and their undeniable attraction.

The chemistry between Clarissa and James was electric, and I found myself rooting for them to overcome all obstacles. Their love story was beautifully written, and I couldn't help but get lost in their world.

What stood out to me the most was the author's ability to delve into James' inner demons. It added an extra layer of complexity to the story and kept me on the edge of my seat. I was genuinely worried that his past would come back to haunt him and potentially destroy their future.

🎧The narration was excellent. JC Bloom never disappoints. I love the emotion she brings to each character. As for Aiden Snow, he can read to me anytime. His voice is what dreams are made of!

Overall, this book was a delightful surprise. The author's writing style and the way she crafted the characters were absolutely fascinating. If you enjoy a marriage of convenience and complicated relationships with a touch of angst, then this is the book to read.

Fantastic

This was one of the best books I have read in a long time and it quickly became one of my favorites. Listening to it just made it better! CJ Bloom and Aiden Snow did an incredible job with the narration. Their interpretation of the characters was even better than how I imagined them when I first read this book. They both did a fantastic job showing the progression of Clarissa's maturity and James' emotional growth throughout the book.

Heart-Sweeping Romance

This is a tension-filled slow burn, and I love it. This one delivers all the pangs, along with a romance that, at the end, you actually believe in their HEA. I laughed and cried. I loved that these two were never disloyal, and liked each other as much as they loved each other, even as they struggled through their challenges. Clarissa starts out sheltered and immature, then grows into her strength. I felt so proud of her, as we listened to her get braver and braver and stand up for herself. This book is just so *romantic*. The narrators were awesome. Aiden Snow can do no wrong in my opinion. 😍 I’d give this two to three peppers for spice. Ends on a really heart-warming note.

Romance with a Twist

This story is a different twist on a traditional romance. I really also liked the narrators.

Absolutely loved every part of this book!! And the Author is from my hometown - just amazing, can’t wait to read all of her books!!!!

Sooo Disappointed

I ordered this title because I’m a huge Aiden Snow fan & also I saw the great reviews but I’m beginning to think ppl are being paid to give great reviews because this story is awful , I mean just awful !
These are two grown adults that are married and 90% of the book is all the 10 million reasons why he won’t take advantage of his wife because she’s rich and he’s in charge of her trust fund so he refuses to consummate the marriage until the last 30 minutes of the book.
How unrealistic is that??
The conversations that took place with the female and her friends were sooo immature and often her conversations with the her husband lacked any depth.
By the time they finally did have sex I didn’t even care and I just fast forward to the end
This writer is not for me, the story was so under developed and unrealistic
