Not the best character development

I didn’t like the virtual voice narration.
I expected the first book to continue (as in a series). But these were 3 different stories that take place after each man left the military (each one due to a different reason).
I especially liked the no foul language and no graphic violence.

Virtual voice is terrible on this!

The story seems like it could be good but I just can't get past the virtual voice. The mispronouncing words and accentuating the wrong syllables is just too annoying. For example: JJ should be accented on the first J not the second. Considering this is the main character, the number of times his name is said wrong is just too much.
