What made the experience of listening to Horrorscopes: The Tell Tale Heart the most enjoyable?
No matter how The Tell Tale Heart is presented, the story is always phenomenal. Even though I know the ending, I'm still delighted by the twist at the end. It's probably the first story I ever heard/read to give me what many now call a Keyser Soze moment.Any additional comments?
Unfortunately I found the narration pretty over-dramatic. It felt that the narrator was telegraphing the reactions I myself should have, in effect robbing me of discovering the reactions for myself.Poe was a genius. There's really no need to try to breathe life into his words than they do themselves. A read with very little emotion would have made this much more suspenseful and horrifying. As it is though, it was a little on the campy side.
