Another convoluted horror.
Bentley Little is an excellent writer. This one makes me think there may be bits of himself reflected in his main character. Not the type of book you want to put down. You could feel the confusion in Steven’s head. Little has that ability to take his readers right into his character’s situation. Good book.

Very disturbing. I loved it!💜
This was a very strange book at times, also highly disturbing most of the time and yet I couldn’t seem to put it down.
It felt a bit long to me, however I’m so glad I continued on (like I had a choice 🤷🏻♀️)because in the end, it was totally worth it.
I’ll tell you one thing, I won’t forget this book anytime soon.
On top of a great story was the brilliant narration of Andrew Gibson. I’ve heard his voice talents in many different genres and he’s absolutely wonderful but IMO, creepy, psychological, mystery, suspense, thriller, story telling is what his voice was made for.
Well done!!
If you’re into horror, I highly recommend this book.

Couldn’t finish
I tried, but just couldn’t finish this book… Endless story that seemed to drag on meaninglessly with no real direction… Off the wall side stories that were thrown in there and made no sense… And the dead puppies was the final straw.

Not one likable character in the entire book!
It’s hard to pinpoint my issues with this book. The biggest issue was I hated every character in the book. The story was so-so. It wasn’t scary. It wasn’t a thriller. It just didn’t even come across as a Bentley Little book at all. The narration was kind of lackluster, but that kind of fit the book…
