Harlow pulls emotions in every direction with a deliciously, tempting wild ride. Xander and Kelly are caught in a masquerade that quickly spins out of control with irresistible results.

Great love story

This is a wonderful addition to this series. It can be a stand alone and not miss anything. Kelly and Zander were perfect. I'm looking forward to the next book. Patrick Zeller and Amanda Stribling were fantastic narrators.

They had me at the 1 line chapters

It was the 1 line Xander chapters for me.

I’m still listening and this is an early review but I know my rating won’t change.

Not quite as good as Austin’s story

This story definitely had some great parts but it didn’t draw me in like Run Away Love did. I had a hard time with the voice and accent of the female narrator. It was too strong and pronounced and sounded almost childish. I liked the male narrator fine. I hope we get to hear additional Buckley siblings stories 🤞

Cute, Sweet, Unique

I loved this book so much! It was a different kind of romance story while still fitting the “norm”.

One bed, forced proximity, good friend’s little sister.

But Zander is a big, buff, broody former Navy Seal and Kelly Jo is a country music good girl who is just a shade on the naive side.

Zander helps her come out of her soft naive shell and see the world a little more clear while teaching her to harden herself/stand up for what feels right to her.

She helped soften his edges and see what real love feels like. He grew up parents who adored each other and he watched his older brother whom was equally stoic and closed off as he is find a healthy relationship after a bitter one with his children’s mother and Veronica also walked out on an unhealthy relationship right into Austin’s world. Turned both of their perspectives topsy turvy.

HOWEVER Zander didn’t fully appreciate that until that feeling hit his own gut and reality started to sink in.

I LOVED that she said “I love you” first ❤️❤️

This beautiful book was narrated by Patrick Zellar and Amanda Stribling! They were so perfect for these characters it’s not even funny!

I was a little unsure about Patrick at first but he just settled in and for like a second skin.

Celebrity & Bodyguard ❤️

I loved this so much! This was the first I heard of these narrators and they did so good! I loved the accent of the female she was perfect for Kelly’s character.

I loved the book so listening to the audiobook was a treat. Wonderful narration.

Zander and Kelly (Pixie Heart) are total opposites. Enemies to lovers. A reluctant body guard to a Nashville singer. It’s all a delicious, fun, romantic story.

Best Story Ever

Words cannot describe how much I have enjoyed this book. The storyline and narrators are second to none. I feel like writing a letter to the author. I will find other books by this author. Picking the right narrators is everything.

Sweet and Spicy Romance

Melanie Harlow is one of my go-to authors. I absolutely love the vibe of her books.
Kelly Jo is a celebrity. She’s a famous country singer named Pixie Hart and is in desperate need of a break. She wants to take some time away in an isolated cabin to get away from the fast-paced lifestyle for a few days.

Xander is ex-military and in the process of opening a new bar. When his friend Waggs reaches out asking for a favor, Xander automatically agrees. After all, he owes his military friend his life. This favor turns out to be more than Xander signed up for. Being the bodyguard to Pixie Hart while she vacations should be simple but already the little firecracker has called to fire him.
Xander is a good man and is determined to keep his promise. He shows up at the cabin where Kelly is staying and makes it clear he’s there to stay.

These two had the cutest banter and definitely spiced the pages up. While Xander is trying to keep all threats away, Kelly is unconsciously bringing more drama and exposure with her social media pictures and posts that unveil where she’s staying. But there appears to be more to the story. Kelly had an ex that doesn’t want to let her go and her fathers trying to suck her dry with his constant requests for money.

I loved that Xander and Kelly put all effort into each other and went full force. These two had beautiful chemistry and just meshed so well together.

This was my first time hearing these narrators and I loved their voices and the way they brought the story to life.

Definitely recommend.

Melanie Harlow returns with the second installment of the Cherry Tree Harbor series and I could not be more excited.

First of all, the cover is divine and the storyline just pulls you in. The banter between Xander & Kelly was so much fun, I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. These two were absolutely perfect for one another, and I could not get enough.

I'm loving the Buckleys and cannot wait for Devlin's story!
