Will not listen to another virtual voice book
The virtual voice has no inflection, no expression. Pauses are not in the correct place. Did anyone listen to this before posting it? The stories are OK and I say stories as they are not books at an hour each. The most annoying thing is that the first 8 "books" are in another boxed set. Ti's one only had 4 new stories. This is nt the first time I got a boxed set where 1 or more books were in another set. Come on Audible do better by your subscribers.

Virtual voice ruined this series
The stories themselves weren't half bad, but the narration totally killed this entire series. No inflection, and I mean NONE. It was torture to listen to.

Entertaining
I was worried when I bought this box set that I purchased a box set of books that I already bought the individual books of. I have done that once before. But was extremely happy that this was not the case. Each book was basically a short story about an hour or so long. Each were very entertaining and I enjoyed the listen. This author has what I really like in a story. She writes the history of each place that was haunted and what made it that way then modernized the story to the current times. It was worth the credit for me because this is the stuff I really like.
I know the narrator was AI and not a real person. The voice was pleasant to listen to but since it was AI it obviously lacked emotion in some of the scenes where a real person would have provided the appropriate emotion. But for me it didn’t take away from the story or the way the author wrote. Which is why overall I gave a five star rating.

I liked all of the stories. I will listen to more like this. Good author.
