Great End

This was a very good ending to the story throughout the whole story there was a couple of things that I wish the writer hadn't done but can't agree with everything but overall the series is good and this is a really nice wrap-up.

Awesome Series

The story line is great, can't stop listening. Narrator is wonderful as always. I'll be revisiting this series for sure.

I’m Sad to See The Traveler Go

It’s hard to say goodbye to a series that you’ve read eight books of. It’s also hard to put into words what that series has meant to you. Sure, this review is just for the last book – but it’s also a combination of how all eight books have made me feel. I can’t believe that after Harbor – I won’t have any more Marcus Battle in my life (until I re-read the series since I miss it). I also can’t believe that this series introduced me to one of my favorite authors and also one of my favorite narrators. I’m definitely going to miss it.

The story itself was exactly what I wanted out of the ending. For the first almost two-thirds – you wouldn’t have known it was a “farewell” book. It wasn’t like the finale of some shows where you can feel the whole last episode pandering to the fact that it’s over and you’ll never hear from these characters again. It might have even been longer – I wasn’t sure that anyone was going to make it out alive until very late in the book.

I won’t go into what Abrahams wrote or how the book ended, but I needed to say that it was perfect. In my own head, I wrote the ended and he was able to write an even better one. The ending was so incredibly satisfying that it had me in tears.

Harbor itself (minus the fact that it’s also a finale book) was great. It was perfectly paced with the great characters you’ve gotten close with throughout the series. Battle and Lou were both great in it. The other surrounded characters all had their places and were a perfect fit for the story. Another one of those characters may or may not have a similar (or the same) last name as one specific blogger… No name-calling or anything, but that was a really awesome inclusion and this blogger may be completely honored to have been included in such an amazing series.

Overall, Harbor was not only a fantastic addition to the series but it was also a great farewell to these wonderful characters. I’m sad because it’s over but I’m happy to have read it. I’m not good at goodbye’s so… see you soon Battle.

Good story

While I really enjoyed the entire series, these last few did drag on a bit. That being said, the ending was very well written.

Harbor lights? No longer .....

I loved this while series, and I am really bummed that it had to end! Thanks for a great listen!

The Traveler Series

Now that I have completed the series, I can see the grouping of stories more clearly.
Books one, two, and three are the introduction to Marcus Battle, his background, The Scourge, and Marcus’ dealings with the Cartel and the Dwellers.

Book four makes an immediate right turn by killing off his new family and sending Marcus out for revenge. He meets Lou and we are introduced to a new major character for this series.
Book five is after the “revenge” and the fact that Battle is still Battle. And trouble follows him everywhere. When trouble follows you, the best thing you can do to help your friends is to leave.
Book six is a side story following Lou from The Scourge till she joins Battle.

Books seven and eight take place nearly ten years later. A lot has changed and Lou needs Marcus Battle again. These books are one story and bring the Traveler series to a conclusion.

Kevin Pierce narrates this entire series and I could not imagine Marcus Battle with any other voice.

This series is a must have for fans of post-apocalyptic fiction as well as those who like old west type action in a somewhat modern setting. There is no EMP in this series so the electronics still work when you can find electricity.

Wow

What a great series! The story and characters are almost human and just seem so real. I was able to immerse myself fully and felt like I knew them. Lots of action and just something for everyone in this book. The narrator... always does an amazing job one of my favorites.

Great series!

I’ve read the entire series and have enjoyed it from beginning to end. Marcus Battle is finally home.
