This easy-to-understand children's book tells the story of Hanukkah, the Jewish holiday that celebrates the victory of the Maccabees and the miracle of light. Learn about the symbols and traditions associated with Hanukkah, with a little magic added to the stories! There is eight Hanukkah stories in Hanukkah Hugs – one for each night of the Jewish holiday. It was designed so that family and friends can come together each day of the holiday and share in the joy of reading a Hanukkah story together. Hanukkah Hugs brings the magic of storytelling into your home.
The Eight Stories of Hanukkah include:
1st Night: The Dreidel's Quest for Light
2nd Night: Gelt Marvels Magical Coins
3rd Night: The Cohen's Menorah Adventure
4th Night: Esther's Magic Latke Frying Pan
5th Night: Happy Paws and Furry Friends, Blintz the Labradoodle
6th Night: Stories of Mom's Childhood Traditions
7th Night: A Modern Maccabee Story
8th Night: Shimmy the Special Shamash
The stories introduce many amazing and magical characters including: the intrepid Dreidel Adventurers and Blintz, the Hanukkah Labradoodle, Shimmy the magical Shamash and the Modern-Day Maccabees. The tales take you to many fantastical places including Esther's Latke House, the Hanukkah Carnival and Gelt Marvels. Each short story (approximately 10-12 minutes of storytelling) brings to life the magic, warmth and community of Hanukkah.
