I’m here for answers, to take revenge for blood spilled on their centuries-old Persian rugs.
I transferred to Ellis University in search for answers about what happened to my older brother, who hightailed out of here, and my friend who seemingly disappeared into thin air.
I certainly wasn’t here for the attention of the star hockey player, regardless of how much he willed my eyes his way.
I wasn’t here for his scrutiny or his judgment or to read into his mysterious aura. I was here for the society, because only they held the answers I needed.
That was, until I found out that in order to get those answers, I needed to go through him.
He’s saying if I want in, I have to play by their rules, follow their lead.
It’s a game I’m willing to play.
I may be the second person I know of to be invited into their society, but I’ll be the first to make it out intact.

Angst,mystery suspense romance...what more could you possibly ask for? I read this first I had to I was so desperate for this story. When the audible came out I immediately had to listen as well. You have to. HAVE TO. The way your'e brought along this journey , this story full of intrigue you will find yourself sitting on the edge. Standing waiting for what is coming. I loved it. I loved the story! Light on the romance but I'll definitely be reading more. Secrets, lies, betrayal. Good stuff!
I loved the h and her relationship with her brother. The loss of a star is Logan. He took a bit to warm up to and I really questioned his desire to be with Amelia, especially early on. Not a fan of his actions being one way but his words being another.

Claire’s story of mystery, suspense, and love gets 5 stars from me. I loved her detailed story of a mysterious society and how it unfolds in the life of the main character Amelia. I loved the characters Claire wrote about that, helped unfold the truth and mystery of this well written story. I was invested from the beginning to the end. Great job Claire. This is a standalone but there will be more stories from this series. Also, there is a bonus scene only on the kindle version.

Fantastic!
This story is amazing! It gripped me from the start. Such great suspense and keeps you intrigued throughout.
I love Logan and Amelia. Their dynamic gives you so many feels. I love the plot and how Claire weaves the intricacies. It sucks you in. I couldn’t wait to get to the bottom of everything!
This is a fantastic story filled with mystery that keeps you on the edge of your seat until the end. I loved it!

Great suspense romance!
This felt like a college version of Riverdale with hotter romance! I loved the combination of secret societies, twists and turns, and murder mysteries. Mae was a great FMC for me and her slow burn romance with Logan was top tier. I liked that we got a little sports romance in there as well. I thought the ending had a lot of suspense and it played out well! I did this one on audio and I thought Aaron and Stacey did a great job. Logan’s chapters were definitely my favorite since I’m such an Aaron Shedlock fan 😅

A great storyteller
Every year I pick my fave author. This year it is CLAIRE!!! Her ability to tell a steamy story with a great plot twist at every corner is a gift she has in spades!

Interesting storyline...
This book indicates its a stand alone which is probably my only complaint. I would have liked to have known more about the characters and where exactly their futures go.
