Argh!!! Do not read unless you want to wait for an end that should have already been written.

It should be a rule. All books that leave on a cliff hanger with no next book should have a warning!!!!! Also this book wasn’t that long the author could have easily finished the book. authors who write books just so you’ll have to buy the next frustrates the crap outta me!

Don’t do it

I STRONGLY suggest waiting for the next book to come out before you listen to this one. I just finished it and I haven’t been this frustrated and infuriated… and just plain pissed off by a book ending in a long time.

Different type of ending than I expect with this series. I did not enjoy the change.

A bit disappointed

I have enjoyed the series overall but this last book left me disappointed. Lorelei seemed to be making a lot of stupid mistakes. The goddess of nightmares can't outwit her own nightmare? I would expect Lorelei to have evolved in the magical sense. I was waiting for some sort of elevation in her 3rd trial. Underworld vs underworld!!...But nope! We're several books in and Lorelei is still doubting herself and her powers. **Insert blowing raspberry sound here**

Nice twist ending!

I’ve seen a number of reviews which lament this is not a complete book. I quite disagree. The main plot point of the book is resolved, in a very interesting manner. The fact this series will clearly continue, seeing as how The Corporation is still fully at large, just means more books & more plot!

I felt Lorelei demonstrated solid character development in this book. Several support cast characters also showed solid growth. Obviously there were tricks and traps laid out given. This is not the last book of the series. However, I would not say they were stupid mistakes. all mistakes can look stupid in hindsight.

It’s a fun, light series I have enjoyed. I will mark to be alerted when another volume comes out. For now, I choose another author & series to start. I am not feeling inclined to give this one a reread just yet.

I enjoy the breadth of accents the vocal talent achieved! Brava!

Missing Chapter

Great series and this book fits right in. However, there is a missing chapter, which should have been between Chapters 2 and 3. Chapter 2 ends in the start of a meeting with the Corporation. Chapter 3 begins with the meeting over, and Loralei recapping conversations made at the meeting, and later, references to a subsequent cocktail party. Though you can get by without the missing pieces, details of the cocktail party are repeatedly referred to throughout the book, including in the grand finale, as if the reader would understand in hindsight. Clearly, the author intended it to be part of the mystery.

ending was not what I expected

I am hope that this is not The end of the series. I was hoping for a better outcome.

Favorite narrator ever

Good series, moves along well. Good characters. Gets a little repetitive with the theme of self awareness and forgiveness but it serves the story too. Whole series is well-done and enjoyable.

each bk gets even better. I love the stories & the characters. the only thing I don't like is the fact that I have to wait for the next bk to come out. narrator is perfect for this bk. love everything about it.
