Moving across the country and opening a costume shop was supposed to be my chance for a normal life. What I wanted was a fresh start, one where the biggest danger would be a carelessly wielded sewing needle. What I ended up with was a trail of dead bodies, a power I didn't ask for, and a host of enemies with ties to my twin sister's decade-old murder. Throw in a stony-eyed enforcer I can't seem to shake and a new goat shifter BFF, and I'm knee deep in trouble.

Page Turner
I really enjoyed this, and it kept me engaged. My biggest complaint was too many dramatic scenes where she decided it was the end of her life. Of course it wasn’t or that would’ve been the end the book.. And too many times that she struggled through coming back to consciousness. I got a sense of repetitiveness. Ms. Eyre’s performance was very good.

Amazing
Great story, good characters, well done world building with easy to follow rules and setup. Performance really brought this book to life and I cannot wait until the next one comes out.

Good & unique story line.
I had previously read this book & knew the story line was good. I got the audible version due to having to drive for a long trip and was disappointed that the voice sounded like an old lady instead of a twenty/thirty something year old (main character’s age).

don't like the narrators voice
her voice is very annoying and whiny, it make it difficult to enjoy the book. I want to listen to the rest of the series but not sure if I'll be able to get through them if the reader is the same.

Great book - pretty good narration
The book is great, I had already read the book perviously and was looking forward to the audible version. Overall the performance was good, with solid voices. My one wish was that there was more variation in the narration. It was a little monotone. Enough that I’m going to pass on the next books in the series.
