Highlighted easy implementations

This was a great listen. All of his examples were completely relatable at some point in my life. And the exercises he describes seem easy enough to implement into my own family. Commitment being key. Very much enjoyed.

Great guide for parenting!

I'm so glad we revisited this book in audio form! It gets straight into my ears! Love the practical examples and grace for parents WHILE parenting as well as grace for the kids! Thank you for the insight and reassurance we are on a good path to raising our kids!

The beautiful gift of Grace

This book had so many nuggets of truth!! I enjoyed the stories. There were some try moments but overall an incredible ending that wrapped it all up. Grace is so needed. Such beautiful reminders that will change our family.

Fantastic

This book was wonderful! The exact way I’d like to parent, and it gave practical and thought provoking ways to implement grace based parenting! I always wanted to be heard and listened to as a kid/teenager/young adult and never was. This shares how to achieve that! And why you should establish Grace based parenting! I’ll be listening to, and reading this book over and over again to keep it fresh in my mind.

Answered prayer!

I cannot rave about this enough! It's an answer to prayer in my household. Dr. Kimmel validated and basically gave me permission to parent the way I feel led to and also pointed out some of my painful faults. In the week since I started listening to this, my family has been set free. Seriously, praise God!

An insightful and enjoyable read from beginning to end.

does not follow printed version

this has great points and perspectives, however I didn't like that the spoken form did not follow the printed book. Only sections were read, there's more to the physical book.

Not clear this version is abridged

It wasn’t clear to me that this version is abridged until it was announced at the end of the book. That was disappointing as I was under the impression I was purchasing the unabridged version. Better communication on this issue is needed by the seller.

I recommend this book to all parents! The grace-based approach really applies to all relationships not just parenting. Rather than focus on a set of techniques designed to modify behavior, Kimmel presents
