Encouraging book!
I can relate to these characters—feeling like I’ve failed too much for God to use me, but this book brings out the fact that God really does use “broken vessels.” Max is also an amazing wordsmith—he uses very vivid illustrations.

An excellent reminder of amazing grace!
I just finished listening to this audio recording, and Max Lucado did not disappoint! I feel like I’m breathing lighter. This is a message so needed in this world today! As I accept this grace for myself, I feel inspired to offer it generously to others. The story of Jacob was really interesting to dive into and witness God’s grace and relentless pursuit despite Jacob’s shortcomings.

My am like Jacob
Max Lucado does it again! This book explains, through scripture, how much we are loved by God. Jacob was a scoundrel on so many levels, yet God never gave up on him. There’s so much love, hope , and peace demonstrated in this book. I needed to hear it.

A tough and realistic look at the patriarch we never heard much about in Sumday School.
an invaluable read, if you are in a tough season. I will be re-evaluating the Labans of my life for a while. and as always Lucado is the kind of storyteller that makes me want to listen "just a little longer"
