This is so dangerous. The military is lurking. Vicious monsters are lurking. And when Mary turns out to be even worse than we could have ever imagined, my desperate bid to save this monster turns into a deadly game of cat and mouse.

Super sweet and really hot

Who knew that the biggest cinnamon roll in the series could dirty talk like a pro?

Anyway, very well written, with an interesting setting, great characters, a lot of action—heh, take that however you’d like—and very nicely spicy.

The performance brought all the characters to life. Well done!

Just pure love

Each book is just as good ad the last one. Rig is so cute and I just loved his story.

LOVED!!!!!!!!!!

So I loved the two Wynn books!!! Edin was amazing as well! But now I need to Re listen to Ryke—-as this installment helped me to understand more the complexities of the various beasties…BUT to this LOVE story- I loved everything about it - the underdog determination was PERFECTION- and the spice was just right!!!!!!

Just as good in audio!

I’ve already read this in print, but it was great to hear the voices of Rig and Gloam. Not so much Mary {shudder} but I guess she’s a (totally evil) part of the story. Looking forward to Moth and Seraph!

Oh this book was absolutely fantastic! It was everything I was hoping to expect and more, I’m obsessed with this universe!
And that ending makes me so excited to read the next book!

I’m telling you, Michael Lesley is IT! One of the best narrators I’ve ever listened to, I can’t wait for him to narrate the rest of this universe, I mean I never want him to stop 😆 He outdid himself with this one! So Good!

Absolutely adored this one!

Gloam and Rig are the cutest sweetest cinnamon rolls to ever exist. Sweet babies subjected to the unspeakable, especially Gloam. Mary is true evil and I hope the new villains introduced in this book get their commupance post haste. This installment had excellent plot and romance! Rig is hilariously lusty after his thick thirst trap. Michael Lesley does a seriously amazing job with this series and his voices for Gloam and Rig really made them real for me. I'll most certainly by re listening to this one constantly.

What to say?

I honestly don’t know what to say anymore about the series. Perfection…incredibly written…addictive…
Every character you come across in this incredible world Lily Mayne has created you inadvertently end up falling for. It’s inevitable. I can’t express how much I love this series, I just know I’m going to be a hot mess when it’s over. If you made it this far in the series, you should already know to just listen and dive into the world of monsters.

So far this has been one of the best series I have ever listened to. I have been recommending it to as many people as I can. Writing is superb. Narrator is absolutely phenomenal. I am so glad I took a chance on these books. A+++++

Just absolutely excellent, all around

The book is amazing and hard to put down. The performance was stunning. I loved these characters so much.

Dark and Sweet

Many dark elements but the romance was so sweet between the two! Loved it! It was well written in both plot and characters. Michael Lesley did a great job as usual .:) You could read as a standalone, but characters and events from book three are pretty present so could contain spoilers for book 3 if you plan on reading after.
