Life can be cruel. Sometimes it's hard to play with the cards you've been dealt. Growing up in the ghetto can be hell; good or bad, everybody has a story. Toni eventually befriends a rich pretty boy from Long Island, whose life was sheltered from poverty since the day he was born. But when he meets Toni, their lives change as they teach each other how to live and grow, and school each other about the opposite worlds they live in and come from. But conflict erupts in the ghetto. Toni's abusive gangster boyfriend, Tec, fuels a deadly drug war with Chills, a well-known kingpin harboring most of Coney Island territory. Greed, rage, and envy is instilled in Tec, and the body count rises. A drug war ensues as animosity and rage erect between the two thugs, making life in Coney Island a living hell for some and Ghetto Heaven for others.

Good book

I really don't like the ending but other then that over all a good read

Great book

I loved the story. I had all the emotions, happy, sad, surprised. I would have liked to know what happened to Tek and if he got his just desserts. Great listen.

All of the violence and Crab in a barrel mentality in this book was so sick. Why would either of these Women bring those Types of Men back to that Place where they Lived?? They knew what would and could happen..and as For Tech?? Is there a part 2?? Wtf happened to Him?? I wanna Knowww.👀😳🤦🏾‍♀️💆🏾‍♀️

Great real life story that had me entranced. Just simply amazing storytelling at its best.

Wish there was another sequel to see what happened to Toni were she pregnant did her and Matthew leave New York did his parents ever come around so many unanswered questions

Not Everyone Gets A Happy Ending

I was skeptical for the first few chapters but keep listening I said how bad could this book actually be. I was more then surprised by how Erick Gray got my attention an kept it. Please take the time to listen you’ll be kept on your toes once things get rolling an the ending will have you saddened but still surprised with a 😮 shit!! I will definitely read more from this author if available. Thank you Erick great job!!

Good book

A really good book, some of it it was hard to listen to. When the narrator would describe the sex acts it was a little bit too much for me, but the book will keep your attention all the way through, I just wanted the main bad character to be killed

Good story but horrible ending

I really enjoyed this book but I hate how the ending was abrupt. I was so detailed throughout the whole story to just end in my opinion.
