Best training book on Shepards

After several attempts from reading other books, I finally found one that worked for me. I have a 2year old Female German Shepard and after researching I came across German Shepard Training for Dogs and Puppies By Karen Douglas Kane and Narrated by Bob Mickelson. I was hesitant at first, but decided to give it a try. I drive a truck for a living so being able to download this book was a plus. So I started listening to it and hearing the quality of the audio was very impressing. Listening to it I like how in the beginning they give you the history of the Shepard, and then proceeded to the training. I would go home and try what I had heard that day on my Shepard. You know it started to work. Each day I would do a little at a time, and they also mentioned that I could use my own words for the commands. So I decided to do that. After everything that I was taught I would highly recommend this Audio Book to any one that wants to give their Shepard the best training out there. It is easy listening, and the Narrator was very clear and understandable. That is why I gave it a 5 star review,

Easy Listening - Well Thought Out - Trained My Dog

Learned to Train - Trained our German Shepherd dog with very little hassle. That was the goal for me. To Train My German Shepherd Dog. I got the book and this Audio too. It taught me that if I want to learn anything new and be able to apply it, the easiest, best and quickest way was to read and listen. MAN did it change EVERYTHING! Look if you want to train your GSD this was simply the best ever training audio i have ever listened too. No BS for me: Listening While Reading - Cuts Time in Half Too.Simply Well Done!

Mostly basic stuff

For a new dog owner there’s some good basic info here. If this is not your first dog you’ll likely be familiar with most of this content.

This sounded a little as if they were beasts

I like to think of them as my friends. This was good GSD information. I especially appreciated the portions and hygiene.

I tend to go a little bit different way and my training I don’t like leashes. For instance, I’ve never had any trouble with the dog running away and they rarely use a leash so this was not my style, but I can appreciate the good history and really appreciate the breed.
