Such good work and really helpful

Comer has a way of putting his finger on painful points without shaming. That’s a gift. He’s a youngish guy who’s lived a lot, and he breaks honest about success and failure without arrogance or self-loathing. We’re so much more than we likely, truly believe. Mark takes us to a healthy, safe place where we can actually consider this. Dig in! 👍🏼👍🏼

First 1/2 of book was awesome!

2nd half was confusing and the last hr especially lost focus and was all over the place making me wish it was over. I kept waiting for it to wrap up the great first half of the book, but it never did, leaving it confusing from the purpose of the book the Sabbath and serving God.

Refreshing!

Such a great book for those who sometimes feel as though you trudge through the mundane tasks of work. I’m grateful for the refreshing perspective the author provides to understand my role as a worker and laborer in this world. Turns out the word “work” is not a four-letter word.

Worth the read

I have come to really appreciate John‘s writing. This is the second book of his that I’ve gone through and I thought he did another fantastic job. I don’t agree 100% with everything he says, but I respect that on the things that are opinion, he states that, I very much respect his openness and honesty. This has helped me a lot with my own outlook when it comes to my job and how I go about it and think about it. It has helped work the more enjoyable and helped me in my ministry at work.

Essential read for Christian entrepreneurs

This book is exactly what workers in God’s kingdom need to hear. And if you are an entrepreneur like myself, you may even find it this book more meaningful and instructional for you.

A gentle challenge

From beginning to end John Mark challenged me to think outside of my own mind. Once I thought I formed a complete thought I challenged it in a new way with the next chapter. I came into this book with one question… What am I doing? I’m leaving this book with more questions to reflect on, but a better heart and an excited mind

Just what I needed to hear

I’m a perfectionist - always questioning whether I’m doing the right thing, asking if I’m in the right place…this is exactly what I needed to hear at this place in my life. Seriously a God-send. Right when I needed it. The Lord is good.
