It was JUST OK
First off I love The Narrator Nikki Smalls. The Story was ehhh. But it is SO MUCH BETTER THEN BOOK 2. This series Pretty much Sucked honestly!

3.8/5 - Free w/ Audible trial* Good voice told w/ confidence, scorn, and knowledge. Interesting to know how much you’d have to shell out to a fancy foreign lawyer once a caught hustler snitches on your drug empire. A quick 2-3 hr listen. Much more sympathetic than Ice berg Slim’s Pimp. Of course few things have the steez of that, but it’s nice to hear a businesswoman’s voice involved in something so unconventionally sordid. Spoiled until 16, Janelle is advised by her father to never rely on a guy and always believe in her talents. They even have an in-home barber shop! You wouldn’t know by his loving demeanor, he’s a drug lord w/ a fiercely disapproving ma. J hardly seems to know much until ops attack her bday party to hit him where it hurts. A very sad start.
Her gram takes her in and donates all her goods to the crooked church. Even though she’s been pretty sheltered she takes to finishing her dad’s collections right away. Doesn’t hesitate to blow away rapists and wife-beaters. Jacking BMWs, blasting witnesses, buddying up to cops, a childhood crush as noble or trying to be as her father. Clashing w/ crack dealers, didn’t expect it to end in such a cliffhanger and never get back to court proceedings.
